The beta is only available M-F 10 AM-1 PM, 5-8 PM Pacific.

Except tonight which was till 12 PST.

Played this at my friend's house for about 4 or so hours. I'll say this, in the first 30-60 minutes it felt like another shooter. After the 2-3 hour mark, the more I played, the more I liked it.

I really love the tactics and leadership roles in this game. I was on a team where we had a bad *** dude at platoon leader. Everyone was working together and we were completing objective after objective.

Leveling up and perk system looks really nice as well. Hopefully the full game expands and has a lot more.

excatly how I feel about it Altimus. I am not high enough to be platoon leader yet but I can do squad leader. Its really satisfying to oder guys to a spot and have them complete it and you get a bunch of leadership points.

Sounds pretty cool from what you guys are saying, at least it's something different. Hope I get into this beta, otherwise I'll definitely be trying it out when it comes out.

I really wish I was at liberty as a beta tester to give out information on the game. From what we have got to do in the beta I can assure you this game is going to be an awfully good one, pure chaos online multiplayer with objective based games. The depth is just awesome and we haven't even had much of the game unlocked yet for us to access.

I'll be logging on in MAG for the first time today. After all that I've read, I'm hoping that what I see lives up to my expectations. I'm just glad to be given an opportunity to try it out.

a friend of mine is in the beta for this and I got to watch him play it earlier, as well as play a few rounds myself. Game seemed pretty fun and something I could definitely sink a lot of time into if I had a PS3.

One thing I did notice was the graphics. I'm not a graphics whore but in HD the graphics were just "meh." I told this to my friend, and he went on to display what the game looked like in non-HD and, uh, it was pretty bad in standard DEF. I won't go in detail, partially because the game was still a lot of fun, but I think people will see what I'm talking about when they get their chance to play it the first time.

I expected them to be kind of mediocre. remember there maybe up to 256 people in one game. Something has to give with that and the graphics do. Good thing is it doesnt lag much.

you're exactly right eton, I didn't expect them to be great either when I first heard the details of the game. And to be honest, the game was still a lot of fun to play so in that regards the graphics did not matter much at all. Personally I'd rather have a shooter that plays well and tight and doesn't lag with OK graphics, than one with beautiful graphics, spotty controls and lag issues.

I guess I was just a little shocked at how poor the graphics were in standard DEF. There were a few times it made it hard to see enemies from far distances. I must reiterate though, the game was still a lot of fun to play and none of the games I played or watched encountered any kind of lag. Controls were sharp too.

I'm in the Beta and I'm loving it. The graphics will improve with the final build cause I think this is a semi early build of the game.
