Re: Batman: Arkham Asylum
LOL, c'mon dawg, you're overreacting just a bit. I was afraid when it happened also, but that's just the devs messing with you. It adds another element to the game, which is part of its unpredictability. Looks like they fooled you good.Comment

Lol, stupid design decision? That was brilliant.
Sounds to me like someone can't take a joke...Comment

Re: Batman: Arkham Asylum
why would you instantly reset your console when it happened. i don't know about you, but if something "freezes" on me, my intitial reaction is to let it be for a second to see if it fixes itself.Spoileralso, if i remember correctly, once the game "resets" itself, even though it's the same batmobile scene, the dialogue is different and you see the joker driving, so resetting your console is nobody's fault but your own.Comment

Leaving hardware sitting there that has obviously malfunctioned just to see if it comes back can do more damage than good. And you're right--I can't take a joke of something that acts like faulty hardware on a console known for being faulty.
Silly me, that I would rather them come up with something more in line with distorted view or something that looks in-game and not fried-video-card.
Of course the game is so good that after a week I started over again and tromped through it, but it's head scratching to me on several fronts why somebody would just let a console that's screeching and flashing pink lines all over sit there, or why that would be something a software developer does by choice.
To each his own, I guess.Last edited by TCrouch; 09-21-2009, 06:16 PM.Comment

Re: Batman: Arkham Asylum
Are u guys not busting his chops cuz of who he is @ OS? Seriously dude, it lasted all of 2 seconds!? It was over b4 i knew what happened then realized part of game. I'm sorry u had a tough time with it but calling it a horrible design choice is a little extreme. Itsactually kind of funny that sum1 actually thought there was sumthing wrong and u did all that u did. I'd just chalk it up as a duh moment and move on.Comment

Re: Batman: Arkham Asylum
It's cool that Sony coughed up the money for this, but who cares. I didn't care too much for these challenge rooms in this game.
In the ‘Heart of Darkness’ FreeFlow Combat map, players will battle a mob of relentless and maniacal enemies at the Arkham Pumping Station. Even the most seasoned Batman: Arkham Asylum player will enjoy stepping into the boots of Batman to take down increasingly difficult waves of insane inmates. In the ‘Hothouse Prey’ Invisible Predator™ map, players will have to rely on their Predator instincts to silently and effectively take down enemies at the Abandoned Glasshouse.
The new content will be available beginning Sept. 24 as a free download on PlayStation Network and Xbox Live Marketplace in Europe, onPlayStation Network ONLY in North America.Comment
