I just ordered this today. I've been wanting it since day 1 but couldn't justify paying 60 for it. I picked up the original copy for 15 bucks. I can't wait to play it! Should I start the game on hard or is it like one of those games where it's frustrating to do so?

If your going for trophies? Start on hard. That's what I did. I actually liked it better becuase it made the combat (which is by far the best combat gameplay I've seen to date it's so smooth how they do it) much more rewarding. You'll know what I mean when you start playing it.

The hardest part is timing all your button presses and getting the combos down. But once you have your system down it's just second nature. Ala Batman.

I beat it on hard in a little under 12 hours. I then went through and beat it on easy to clean up some of the trophies I missed in about 4 hours.

Were the challenge modes easier on your easy playthrough compared to the hard one, or are all challenge modes the same despite the difficulty you played the story on?

All challenge modes are the same from what I remember. It's best to go after the challenges though after you passed the game so you have the upgraded armor.

I imagine you're talking about the challanges that are seperate from story. Like Altimus said go through the story and get all the upgraded stuff then do the challenges.

The challenges varied on difficuly. I think there were three different difficulties for each type of challenge. And each difficulty had a different set of goals. Be it score X amount of points, or takedown enemies a certain way.

Edt; MW2 Spec ops reminded my alot of the A.A. challenges in where you get stars (batwings) for completing certain criteria in each room/map.

So did anyone go back and go into that hidden room that the producers talked about way after the game was out?

I did. Not mind-blowing for me, but still very cool. Not really sure how anyone would've found it without it's secret being revealed.

Finally bought this game and am loving it at the moment. Combat system is awesome and I love all the gadgets. The story's wicked as well and I love the tone of the game. The only thing I don't like is the headaches I get from playing it haha. It could be due to all the vents you gotta crawl through.

Anybody else get sick playing this game? Only a few games affect me this bad, like the original doom and other first person shooters. I can only play it for about half an hour at a time.

Never got sick playing a game, that sucks bro.

I will say so far this is still my top game as far as a single player game goes. Long anough to leave you wanting more, incredible, read; best yet, combat system, and yusing all the cool batman gadgets made this game so much fun.

                            Can't wait for A.C.

I also gotta admit, it's been awhile since I've been eager to continue playing a game. I like Batman when it comes to superheros, and AA is awesome. Only thing I don't like is the boss battles, but everything else is great.

Got rid of some old games with gamestop's extra $5 bonus on trade-ins. Picked up Arkham Asylum and Arkham City GOTY (guy changed the price from $50 down to $40 for me since PS3 was priced higher than 360 for no reason)

Started Asylum first obviously, played for about an hour and I'm 4% in. I love it so far, it's definitely satisfying my renewed Batman itch after seeing Dark Knight Rises recently.
