They really haven't aged noticeably since release.

Re: Batman: Arkham Asylum
I didn't scroll through all the replies in this thread, but this had one of the worst design decisions I can think of in the game.
I'm clipping along, almost to Killer Croc, when I see the screen go pink with weird lines and freeze up. I freak out, because that's exactly what happened when I was playing NHL2K years back and had my first RROD. I shut it off quickly.
I boot it up again, it happens again. Always in the same spot. I keep freaking out, and end up deleting all of my save games and uninstalling it from the hard drive.
Then I start Googling to see if it's something other people have experienced, and everybody has--because it's part of the game. That's the most ludicrous thing in the world to have a simulated game freeze that lasts for a few seconds and then returns to normal. I almost took the game back after that, since I have to re-do the entire game up to that point again. I'm not going to sit there and let my 360 make horrid noises and flash pink lines across the screen like it's about to bite the dust.
Horrible, horrible decision.Because I've had to grab 3 extra 360's for that exact freeze up. If something is chattering and making horrid screeching sounds, that's usually the hardware having too many things going on at once, which can easily fry circuits. The longer you leave it sitting there, the more damage it can do (I'm a tech support rep in my day job).
Leaving hardware sitting there that has obviously malfunctioned just to see if it comes back can do more damage than good. And you're right--I can't take a joke of something that acts like faulty hardware on a console known for being faulty.
Silly me, that I would rather them come up with something more in line with distorted view or something that looks in-game and not fried-video-card.
Of course the game is so good that after a week I started over again and tromped through it, but it's head scratching to me on several fronts why somebody would just let a console that's screeching and flashing pink lines all over sit there, or why that would be something a software developer does by choice.
To each his own, I guess.
Still my favorite part of this thread and what made this game classic.Last edited by Rubio809; 03-24-2015, 08:44 AM.PS5Comment

I honestly let out a loud "Man, WTF?!" on that part. Luckily I'm lazy and didn't immediately go to turn the thing off haha.#WashedGamerComment

Spoilers!!!! Agh!!!!!!!
Oh well, I probably should expect as much in a thread about a game that's 6 years old. Also that is pretty hilarious.
I just started playing this game yesterday and it's awesome. Clearing out my backlog has proven one of the best decisions I've ever made.Comment

I'm not big into remastered games but I would buy BAA day one to play it over again.Originally posted by Anthony BourdainThe celebrity chef culture is a remarkable and admittedly annoying phenomenon. Put in a photo mode and I miiiiight consider it. Otherwise, I still disagree with the idea of remastering these. I also think Arkham Origins should be included, but I realize that's probably because it's not a Rocksteady game.Originally posted by bradtxmaleI like 6 inches. Its not too thin and not too thick. This is cool... Some games are too good to be left behind. I'm glad the developers are letting these legendary games live on.

Meh....I love BAA & BAC, but I put a Iot of work into those games that I don't really want to do again. In fact still haven't 100% finished Arkham City with the challenge mode and a few of Harley Quinn revenge DLC cheevos.
I would rather see Gears of War 1-3 remastered....Originally posted by Edmund BurkeAll that is needed for the triumph of evil, is for good men to do nothing.Comment

Re: Batman: Arkham Asylum
Completing the City challenges and challenge campaigns wasn't so bad. The predator challenges were more ramped up and the campaigns just felt redundant.
