Just got back from my dry run to Bowling Green. They have copies for days. The guy at the counter said they only sold about 30 yesterday from that location. He had at least a hundred sitting on the counter. Safe to say anyone in the nearby area won't have a problem getting one. Peace!!!!

man I'm tempted to go up there, it'd only be about a 4-hour round trip drive for me. Maybe a little more but I drive fast.

Make sure to give us some impressions when you get the chance.

Since my son is a Halo Guru I will post his thoughts after he fires it up. He just turned 17 a couple of days ago and has some other things going on this weekend celebrating his b-day. I will try to get him to fire it up real quick so I can post some of his thoughts on the game. Peace!!!!

Thanks we figured that out. His quick thoughts were. Gameplay is very smooth, Pistol is extremely accurate, the night vision is awesome. Upgraded graphics he really liked. I watched him play the 1st 5-10 minutes and he says it's pretty darn good. He started playing Firefight and he was by himself. He said that mode is gonna be insane. From what I've read about the game everything is pretty much spot on as advertised. My son never read up on what to expect about the game from game sites and his initial impressions are pretty much what the gaming sites are saying. My personal thoughts, The game looks freakin amazing!!! I gotta find some noob players online to get my game tight

                            IGN Review - 9.0

There are places where Halo 3: ODST could be improved, but when it comes right down to it, every Halo fan should buy this game. Even if you've lost interest in the franchise over the years or haven't ever given a Halo game a look, you'd do well to grab ODST and a few friends for some of the best multiplayer gaming around, especially with as wonderful an addition as Firefight. The campaign is a tad short, but well-crafted and exciting. Then there's a whole disc full of multiplayer maps, though you may already own the bulk of them.

Halo 3: ODST isn't a true sequel, but it is more than a standard expansion. If you're on the fence about buying it, drop your reservations and go snag a copy. If you love Halo, you owe it to yourself to pick this up as soon as you can.
                            1UP Review - A-

ODST does suffer for the lack of genuinely new elements it adds to the Halo universe, and the campaign mode is a bit brief. Yet between the enormous scope of New Mombasa, the unique atmosphere, and the brilliance of Firefight mode, I can easily see myself pouring more time into ODST than any other Halo to date. As a student of the "quality over quantity" school of entertainment, I'll take a compact but meaty experience that keeps me coming back over a long, drawn-out exercise in tedium any day. ODST may be a side diversion in the Halo universe, but it's an awfully good one
                            Eurogamer Review - 8

Horribly, it's that price tag that ultimately does for Halo 3: ODST. This is a marvellous campaign, and its clever pacing, shifting focus and expert storytelling all heave effortlessly under cover of wisdom inherited from the phenomenal Halo 3. Our fear had been that the Orbital Drop Shock Troopers would struggle to escape the Master Chief's shadow, but the developer's improving craft means they have no difficulty doing so over a short distance. Instead, it's the shadow cast by Halo 3 itself, and its contemporaries then and since, that proves slightly too long and broad for Bungie's valiant efforts of the past 18 months to escape, because no matter the quality of what's on offer, they can't reasonably make the same demand of your wallet, and yet they still do. It's all the more disappointing, because as a roadmap to the future of Halo, if not the future of Bungie, Halo 3: ODST is fantastic.
                            TeamXbox Review - 9.4

Halo 3: ODST provides a ton of that classic Halo gameplay presented in new ways, with new stories and characters to explore, further fleshing out the deep background behind the long and dramatic saga of the Halo universe. And while we might have appreciated some more tweaks to how the game plays—and wanted something that felt like it was letting us play the Halo story in brand new ways (like the Halo Wars RTS, for instance) —we can’t be too disappointed in what we got: a fantastic game that reminds us of why Halo was so great in the first place.

                            Giant Bomb Review - 4/5

Halo 3: ODST fills in a few interesting spots in the Halo timeline, even if the characters themselves aren't strong enough to carry the narrative. But it strikes a healthy balance between new twists and more content done in Bungie's trademark style. The more important thing is that if you've enjoyed playing Bungie's Halo games in the past, chances are you'll continue to enjoy that style in ODST.
                            G4 Review - 5/5

Is Halo 3: ODST worth the price of admission? Yes. Many will be surprised at its scope. If you sprint through the campaign, dabble in Firefight, and hang the second disc from your rearview so it'll make rainbows, then you might feel cheated. But if you play ODST as it was designed, it’s worth every cent. The Halo: Reach beta key only sweetens the deal. Halo 3: ODST provides a great package. You get a co-op ready Campaign, solid storytelling, a fantastic survival mode in Firefight, and the full Halo 3 multiplayer suite. Although the lack of Firefight matchmaking is a downer, it’s a minor annoyance. Yes, the ploy of tying achievements to upcoming content is irritating, and making new maps exclusively available in sequels sucks, but beyond all the marketing, I can't deny that ODST is simply an excellent game.

Eh, Halo 3 got a good review, and this is basically an expansion pack so not surprising...I am surprised most reviews didn't take points for the lack of visual improvements (IMO Halo 3 was somewhat dated when it released). Also surprised that they're getting away with charging 60 bucks for an expansion pack, whereas Left 4 Dead 2 is getting so much flack for releasing a new game.

L4D2 complaints are mainly coming from the PC crowd, as console people are generally happy with paying $60 for yearly games. Plus, it's almost been 2 years exactly since Halo 3 came out too.
