me and a friend ran through and beat the campaign on Normal, which was a mistake as it was way too easy. we pretty much just ended up meleeing the whole time.

then me and 2 friends played one of the firefight maps and got to set 4 and 300,000+ points with 15+ lives before we gave up and called it quits. we played that map for 90 minutes.

Was it on Heroic? I play all my Fire Fight on Heroic so I can get that Vidmaster Achievement....

to Candyman and Flawless, gotta apologize for my roommate, who was the fourth in those firefight games we played. He's actually pretty good at shooters but is completely new to Halo and as much as I tried to explain things to him he still doesn't know what certain weapons do, where to be on a map, how to act against certain enemies, etc.

Also, good playing with EG, ChubbyBanana and ESPNdeporters earlier as well. It sucks there's no matchmaking for firefight so hopefully we can keep it going strong. And a little warning for anybody playing firefight with CB, if he takes control of a vehicle it's probably best to seek some high ground so as not to get run over.

Hey its fine, I had fun. The only real problem is that Flawless and I were really laggy in that map. We jump and it take up about 10 seconds to get back to earth, lol. I think it was something to do with you having a shared connection or something. Flawless and I played another after that and the conection was fine so I dunno.

We will absolutely have to get like a group of OSers together and play Firefight alot more. Get like 8 of us in one party and run up 2 games of 4. Lots of laughs and cussing later.....lol.

It is something though when I play Firefight for the first time today and get in the top 2 points every time, get illed by a freaking worthog wheel, have a brutes dead body kill me by landing on me all in one night, Good times, lol.

Wow, I really suck at Halo then.

Loved Firefight mode, good times with Beers, ESPN, and Chubbs.

Firefight is awesome and much more fun than Horde imo. I just need to try the SP campaign when I get a chance today.

Eh, Halo 3 got a good review, and this is basically an expansion pack so not surprising...I am surprised most reviews didn't take points for the lack of visual improvements (IMO Halo 3 was somewhat dated when it released). Also surprised that they're getting away with charging 60 bucks for an expansion pack, whereas Left 4 Dead 2 is getting so much flack for releasing a new game.

Anyways, It's Halo. I liked Halo 1 a lot as it was refreshing/new.
However I haven't seen much to warrant the hype this game gets since Halo 1.
Most overated game in the history of gaming, IMO of course....

Guess time will tell with this game...

VGChartz is reporting ODST has already sold over 2 million copies. Again, as I've said before, I never buy into that site's claims and will wait for the NPD numbers to hit. But either way, it's going to be a monster seller.

Firefight is going to eat a lot of time for many people, we were struggling on normal, the sad part is when you accidentally kill a team mate and you try to keep it quiet, but then the stats at the end of the game lets EVERYBODY know you are a team killer....lol

well bungie.net shows it had around 918k players and a little over 5 million games in the first 24 hours. It's not impossible for there to be another million somewhere.

Makes sense. I went into my local Best Buy and there were only like ten copies left.

Sounds like a good game so far though, I'd probably pick it up if I had a 360.

Amazon was supposed to deliver me my copy of the game yesterday, but UPS fudged up. Should have it today and hopefully get on tonight for some Firefight.

It was pretty good. Did the non-warthog vehicles always have those horrid controls?

I got all the way to end parts thinking "at least I didn't have to drive that crappy warthog!" and wouldn't ya know it,the second last mission you have to drive a warthog and then a gausshog. Taking the gunner seat just results in the other guy sitting in the passenger seat.

There's a scene after the credits so you probably shouldn't skip them in case you'll miss it.
