Yeah will have to get it at some point. Both times I stopped playing it was at the same point in the gane. Lol. I really need to beat it.

Be great if the one or ps4 gets a true sequel to it.

Well...there were 2 more games in the series but they were only made for PSP, and the third never made it to North America. They both focus on entirely different settings and groups of soldiers though, so I don't know if they're "true sequels" in the way that you're referring to.

I'd say the sales of this game 6 years later are definitely capable of changing some minds at Sega HQ though, and I'd definitely take HD versions of 2 and 3.

Port is awesome, btw. Be aware that the game's full-motion cutscenes only play as movie files within the game (and can even be watched outside of it with VLC), but they are locked to 30 FPS. If you're running the game at 60 FPS you may notice some choppiness in those. The in-game engine runs at a smooth 60 though, and looks beautiful.

I didn't realize this classic was released on Steam until today. I will pick it up tonight. I had a blast with it on my original PS3 but I never got around to finish it. The YLOD made sure I never got the opportunity. I am happy I get a chance again.

Same here! I've been waiting for a NA release confirmation, since the announcement late last year. Looking forward to this and the new PS4 game that's also coming.

Yeah, there's an entirely new VC in the works, but it hasn't yet been confirmed for the West.

What's a bit troubling is that it says it picks up where 3 left off - of course we never got 3 over here (although there was a fan translation done at one point).
