Okay, so I JUST NOW found out that really is her name. I did get the personnel entry that said she's one of a set of triplets, but let's just say I've never owned a Dreamcast to know about her OR the other two cameos in this game until I looked it up. Although I did wonder why those two characters seemed to be joined at the hip - in potentials, personnel files, and likes. Now it's pretty obvious.

    Very clever, Sega.

So who are the other characters in this game from other games. I think I remember Vyse but that is about it.

Vyse and Aika are playable. Vyse, of course, is a shocktrooper in this game and Aika is a scout. Characters that appear on the recruiting board are random, so one player may have started with Vyse available, some had to wait several chapters.

            How do engineers repair tanks?

I walk up to a damaged tank and there is no command to 'repair' like there is for sandbags.

Is he supposed to just stand next to it for a full turn? I am not getting any results.

            Thanks

Switch through the engineer's weapon set and you'll get a wrench. Aim at the tank with the wrench and the engineer will repair the tank for 1000 (or more depending on potentials).

              It's just like using ragnaid.

                Found it, thanks.

I had to level up the Engineers, the tool wasn't there at level 2.

This game is really good!! Suprise of the year in my opinion.

Supposedly, but there's been no mention of it since December.

Haven't played yet, but what from what I've gathered, it seems like a mix between Final Fantasy Tactics and Ring of Red....In other words pure heaven. I'll pick it up soon.

Sega Confirms Valkyria Chronicles DLC for Spring

Sega's tactical RPG Valkyria Chronicles will be receiving three downloadable content packs this spring, reports CVG. There's no word if the three packs will have a bundled option, or what price will be charged for each of them, but they all seem to add different elements to the game.

"Hard EX Mode" is a new challenge level for players who have mastered the game. Enemies are tougher, and the Edelweiss tank is unavailable. "Edy's Mission" (called "Enter the Edy Detachment") gives the drama queen her own starring role. Separated from the rest of Squad 7, Edy and her troops find a small town under attack, and decide to defend it. Finally, "Selveria's Mission," entitled "Behind Her Blue Flame," gives players a look inside the Imperial army. Players assume the role of Johann, an Imperial engineer under Selvaria's command, and see events of the game from the other side.

Valkyria Chronicles was received warmly by critics and players for its art style and battle system, but didn't see blockbuster sales. It's become a cult hit for fans of the game. Sega has been hinting at the DLC for over a week on the Valkyria Tribute twitter feed. The clue eventually revealed itself as "Good things come in threes: 1-0-3-6-9." We'll let you know when we hear more details about the upcoming packs.

                            Finally - great news!

Hard EX sounds like it's going to be a little beyond me, but the two extra missions sound great.

Nice to see a thread on this game here. I love this game but am not very far into it with everything else that has released since Christmas. I hope this sells well enough for a sequel.

Valkyria Chronicles DLC Dated, Priced and Pretty

SEGA has priced and dated the three downloadable content packs for strategy RPG Valkyria Chronicle (PS3), and celebrated the announcement with new screenshots.
