Stupid question, if I'm re-playing the game (completed the story already), does my new guy with the XP bonus have to be the same class? Not sure if I should start a new one from complete scratch or not for the Renegade run.

I've been wondering the same thing about whether I can change my character's class or not. Anyone know?

Yes. You cannot change the class on your second play-through with the same character. I'm 99.9% positive...

You should be able to re-import the same ME 1 character and change classes and you'll still get the bonus.

Ya, that works. I did that with my paragon vanguard and changed him to a renegade soldier...I really wanted to use the assault rifle. Not really digging the soldier class, but we'll see how it goes.

Still run across some of the side characters from ME1? I'm thinking about Conrad, Helena Blake, Gianna Parsinni, etc.

I know that most of the default decisions were the Renegade path, but I'm finding it hard to slog through ME1 again with a Renegade character after experiencing the awesomeness that's ME2.

I don't think you'll meet the ME1 side quest people on a default non-imported ME2 character.

most of the choices are the neutral path. original counsel dead, replaced by members of same species(instead of an all human counsel that I think renegade would normally get). Wrex is killed by default. Udina is counsel member by default(you don't get to choose either I don't think), Ashley/Kaiden survivor depends on you gender, the one that is the opposite gender you are will live.

Couple of questions:

1) Anyone had problems with the game freezing up on you? It did it to me twice last night. It's been about a handful of times since I got it.

2) This ties in with 1, but for those that copy their games to the hard disk and play off of that, have you ever had any issues with games freezing up?

I'm curious because I have a 20 GB hard-drive and have thought of bumping up to 120 GB. I think the price oft the drive is a little expensive but I can probably trade in some games and maybe get a used one. I'm a little tired of having to delete stuff from my hard-drive due to space issues. Plus, I imagine the load time might be quicker playing off of the hard-drive.

I've installed both discs and haven't had any freezing issues.

I install every game I play often to my hard drive. improves load time and less strain on the disc drive. I don't recall ever having a game freeze while installed to the hard drive.

I haven't installed the game at all and have had no freezing issues. Delete your cache, maybe?

When I first got the game, I just popped it in without installing and started playing. When it got to the part where you are about to change your character's face/class and all that, it froze. I installed both discs after that, and had no freezing issues from then on.
