That looks slightly unpleasant (not as much as the mako was) but it's free so...

    Maybe it'll be decent.

That DLC looks boring. It doesn't appear to be fun at all by just mindlessly firing and hovering around the place. Hopefully, the paid DLC adds more meaning.

Now get me the Hammerhead in a swarm of Husks on Insanity (what I'm playing now) and you might have something. But this...All I see are turrets and stuff... meh.

there apparently is a new Heavy weapon available for download via Cerberus Network called the Arc Projector.

*copied from BioWare's ME2 weapon page*
        Popular Manufacturer(s): Unknown
        Training Required: Heavy Weapons
        Charge up time: 2 seconds
        Related weapons: None

Description: The Arc Projector ionizes targets with a non-visible laser to ready them for a high-voltage electrical attack. As the lightning-like bolt hits its first target, a sophisticated auto-targeting system paints succeeding targets with the ionization laser, allowing the electricity to take the path of least resistance and arc between them. An entire enemy strike team can be shocked to death with a few pulls of the trigger. Careful aiming will also allow the user to arc shots to nearby explosives as well.

Chain lightning gun. Neat. Though with how long it took to fire to use against the bigger Geth it sounds like it's designed for they'd probably have to be distracted. I could only find 2 Varren to use it on.

Finally finished the game at 54 hours and 48 minutes. Was rough because I have to play win my daughter asleep on me. I liked the game. There are a few things I liked better in the first over this one but I'm happy I dropped the $60 on it. Was well worth it. Now, I'm just debating when I'll start from scratch and beging with ME1.

Surprise ending on the real for me. I can't even fathom how Bioware plans on wrapping this up win only one more in the trilogy. What I do wish they also would have had a chance at was a nice Stars Wars game in this vein. Definitely potential. Oh, I can finally understand what all the spoiler stuff is.

I feel relieved to be done with the first playthrough. Now on to Assassin's Creed 2.......

Looks like this held up against the early competition review wise on most sites. Just Splinter Cell to go now.

Finished the game today with my Vanguard at around 25 hours. I did all the loyalty missions and all the side missions I could find on every planet, including all the anomalies.

Now I'm thinking of going through again as either a renegade Infiltrator or a Sentinel.

                  Strangely addicting to painfully excruciating.

I am maybe 1/3 of the way through my second play through and I finally ran out of resources for upgrades. Planet scanning this time around seems painful now. I totally dosed off last night with a beer in one hand and a controller in the other. I woke up with the planet just spinning.

I wish the New Game + you were able to keep all of your upgrades.

Interestingly enough, I've done the same thing while scanning planets.

More Mass Effect 2 Content on the Way

We've seen a number of downloadable content releases so far for BioWare's Mass Effect 2, but the next bit is the first that'll cost you real dollars. No word yet on exactly how expensive it'll be since BioWare's still figuring it out, but it does come along with a number of new items and story bits. The content should be ready to go on April 6 for Xbox 360 and PC.

One of the main attractions of the download is Kasumi, a stealthy female fighter who you can meet up with in the Citadel. After getting her attention and talking to her about the task she wants you to do, she'll become a member of your party. So after you're all done, she'll take up residence on your ship. You can walk into her room, examine all the cool paintings she has on the wall, and fix yourself a drink at the bar. Like Zaeed, another added character through downloadable content, you can't actually engage in full conversation with her, she just talks at you as you wander around her room.

With a dark hook, black eyes, and a cloaking ability, Kasumi is an intimidating character. In battle, she can also pull off the Mass Effect equivalent of a rogue backstab, as she cloaks, moves behind a target, then reappears and whacks the foe in the back of its head with your omni-tool. She'll also offer the ability to toss out flashbangs as a loyalty bonus, and during the mission you'll get a fancy new gun.

You'll be able to access the content regardless of where you are in the game – whether you're halfway through the story or finished. In all we're told it'll take about one hour and a half to complete, and according to BioWare plays out a little like a James Bond mission. First you infiltrate and mingle with the enemy, then you start shooting. Kasumi will fill you in on the mission details on the Citadel, and then you fly off to the location of the target's mansion, which turns out to be fairly lavish.

I won't spoil any of the specifics, but the plot does at one point involve Michelangelo's David. The setting itself looked impressive, as the interior of the mansion looked out over grassy fields, a large expanse of water, and a city in the distance under a clear, sunny sky. Within the residence were a number of elaborate paintings, bookshelves, and other fancy features as guests of the target's party wandered around in formal wear, clinking glasses as piano music played in the background.

Once the fighting breaks out, expect things to get quite hectic as Shepard and Kasumi battle against a number of formidable foes, some of which will lob flashbangs your way. Assuming the price is right, this could be a nice addition for fans of BioWare's sci-fi RPG.

Price? It should be free because half the files are already on the disc. Though I'm sure it'd be a reasonable 240 points because of that plus it probably really takes 45 minutes to finish.

Just finished my Insanity playthrough. 34 hours well spent. Thane tried to be a hero and got himself killed by the seeker swarms. I am determined to make it through with everyone alive and loyal, so that means another playthrough once some of the new DLC drops.

I'm trying to decide what class I should be next. Already did Infiltrator and Sentinel. Decisions, decisions...

On a side note, I wish there was more dialogue available after you finish the last mission. But I suppose it's understandable why there isn't.
