Ok guys I need a important question answered. I am going for my second playthrough of Mass Effect 2, What I want to know is: When i beat the game on my second playthrough, what Data will carry over to Mass Effect 3, the first or Second one?

I ask this because I lost too many people in the last mission and I want to give it another go so If the first save counts and not the second, I will have to delete the file...

Well no one knows that yet but I would guess it'd be like ME 1 to ME 2 where you can pick from any of the files you have.

Can i still have an enjoyable experience even tho i didn't play 1?

Yes and it is better than the first but you'd have an even better time if you played the first game.

Overlord is coming out on the 15th for 560 points, and for some reason there's gonna be a demo of Mass Effect 2.

Ok I just spent the last 20 minutes trying to find this out, I have come to this conclusion: When you beat the game, a new save is created. So if you beat it 1000 times, 1000 import saves will be created...

I'm sure there's a limit. Not that anyone would play through that much by the time ME 3 comes out.

I never finished ME1, I thought it was good, but didn't get that deep into it. I'm kinda interested in grabbing this used. Is it diminish the experience that much if you didn't play the first one through til the end?

I would say yes.

Mass Effect 2 is again, mostly a character driven story. There's only a couple revelations that may not have the same impact if you didn't finish the first game. Even then, if you don't mind reading some, the codex is there to fill you in and bring you up to speed.

Just got this from gamefly. Didn't play the 1st one. Was nothing else on gamefly i wanted right now so I wanted to see what the hype was for this game. Anything i need to know before i start? Plus how long is the game?

Download the 'Story so far' trailer that came out the other day.
It's about 35 hours depending how you play.
The 2nd disc is the middle of the game and post game (in case you skipped any missions you'd like to do afterwards...assuming you get out alive).
The 1st disc has the beginning and ending.

I have it but haven't played it. I lost all my save data for every game so I'm in the middle of playing through the first Mass Effect again.

ME2 is so much more enjoyable post patch, it doesnt take 20 minutes to mine a planet!

The demo for this game is sooooo good. I should have never played it because now I'm itchin' for the full game. Gonna try to cop it tomorrow hopefully.
