    Re: Mass Effect 2

Getting a renegade FemShep going on this game while I wait for my buddies to catch up to me in ME3. Don't want to get too far ahead of them so I don't spoil things. Plus I'd like to see how the story changes by intentionally getting squad and crew members killed.

I completely forgot what Kelly's purpose was and my renegade told her that we needed to keep things professional. My first play-through was a nice guy to every friend and foe, though.

Finished my first playthrough, a thorough one with a paragon sentinel.
          Spoiler

In a few months I'll do my 2nd, quicker playthrough with a renegade female shepherd, either vanguard or adept......

Then I'll play ME 3 a few months after that when I can find it on the cheap

I haven't tried adept yet, but vanguard is a lot of fun.

I lost Miranda as well...which is unfortunate, because watching her walk from behind was a guilty pleasure. Oh well, I romanced Ashley from ME 1 and stayed loyal through ME 2, so I better get something for that in ME 3

I went ahead and kept the one I bought and the code still worked. With all this DLC that I never played on the 360 it will feel like a brand new game.

When's the best time to do the Lair of the Shadow Broker? I've done all main missions before the IFF (plus loyalty) and now I'm just doing a couple of side missions to gain credits and buy upgrades. While I'm aware that I can do it at any time, I want to do it within the proper flow of the main story (so to speak).

Hopefully, I can get this done within the next two days so that I can jump right into ME3. Can't believe I never tried Sentinel before - they can get thru any situation! My vanguard Shep (RIP) was definitely more badass with the "rush" power though.

Also, insanity is a bitch. Not because it's harder per se, but because your teammates can't get their act together. ME3 should be interesting since I plan to play on hardcore on my first play through.

I would do the shadow broker before doing the IFF mission. I think it fits better before the ending of the game. I think the only DLC that is "supposed" to be post ME2 ending is Arrival(since it's a bridge between ME2 and ME3).

yeah, on insanity in my Sentinel run(happened to be my very first playthrough), I found myself being alone quite often as my team mates would do something stupid and die. I finally just stopped reviving them, as a Sentinel you can take on anything.

in ME3, Sentinel is still bad ***, although not as overpowered as they were in ME2.

Great. Guess that's what I'll do next time I play. I'd say I have a good 10hrs left in the game before I play 3.

True about not reviving your squad. I only ever revive when I can't stay somewhere safe and pick bad guys out on my own. And when I do, I always say "That's why I'm the muthafrackin' Spectre!"

So I just finished Shadow Broker and....it's the best damn mission in the entire game! From the enemies, to the locations, to the drama with Liara and the overall length - this is what DLC should be like.

The two boss fights in this one has been tougher (and way more fun) than anything the main story has. Money well spent and it just got me more hyped up for ME3.

Shadow Broker was really good, but I thought Project Overlord was their best DLC.

I actually did Shadow Broker this weekend along with all the other Illium missions. I remember it being longer and harder, but I pretty much tore through anything and everything.

If I remember correctly, reviews for Project Overlord were "meh." Still, perhaps I'll check it out someday. The only other DLC I plan to get is Arrival since it's connected to ME3.

FINALLY finished the game on Insanity and good gawd those Collectors were such a bitch. I actually had to take a break from the final fight simply because I was too frustrated at being spammed. Thankfully, I found a strategy that worked and managed to keep my squad helpful enough for me to whittle down that boss.

Definitely would have been WAY easier if I picked the assault rifle for my second weapon specialty instead of the shotgun.

Afterward, I broke up with Jack then got with Tali. Then I broke up with Tali and got with Miranda. So...let's see what happens in ME3! But first, gonna finish the Arrival DLC and off to ME3 I go!
