It's pretty long, but it's well worth it, especially if Liara was your love interest in ME.

It took me 2.5 to 3 hours I'd say. I was only playing on normal though. It was pretty good though, and I thought it was the best of the DLC I have.

Afterwards Liara wanted my **** but Tali is my baby

Finished my 2nd playthrough last night. Everyone but Jack survied.

Cannot wait for tonight when I can jump into ME3. I forgot how cool the ending was to ME2.

@Herky, yeah everyone but Jack lived in mine as well, that's why I'm going through it again.

What is it you guys are doing that causes someone on the crew to die? I'm really curious. My two playthroughs had no casualties.

I lost Miranda because I sided with Jack after doing both of their loyalty missions, thus losing Miranda's loyalty and I didn't know how to get it back. She was the only one not loyal in the end, and the only one who died for me.

Anyone who is not loyal is at greater risk of dying. It's most common with Jack and Miranda due to the moment where you have to pick sides (if you don't have enough Paragon/Renegade points). There's also the issue with Tali and Legion to navigate as well.

Also, picking someone not suited for a given task during the end-game can get people killed as well, though most choices at the end are fairly obvious as to who is suited for what

(the exception being an apparent hidden defense multiplier for the people left to "hold the line" while you finish the job) A friend pointed me to that on the ME wiki...I had no idea when I played through initially (though it didn't seem to impact my initial play-throughs).

I'm not even sure. I must have chosen the wrong person for a particular task, or didn't choose the "someone has to hold this door" option. I did the final mission again tonight, the only change I am certain is different is that I dumped Tali for Jack this time around (even though I know it has no effect, I just wanted to see the scene). Everyone made it out alive. So now I have to go through the final mission one more time for my "perfect" save, because I don't really like Jack.

Had some fun with the romance options tonight too.

My first time around I was hoping to build something with Tali, but tonight I dumped her and got Jack. Got her scene right before the final mission. After the mission was over, back on the ship I dumped Jack (she MAD!) and went back to see if I could get Tali back; Tali wasn't having it.

However, Miranda was! So I hooked with her. As soon as we were done I went back to her office and told her we should just keep our relationship professional. She was cool with it (she knew what this was).

So even though this isn't my "perfect" save, I am going to start this up in ME3 to see if those choices have any effect on things there.

Okay. I made a few different choices in my renegade playthrough that I am very close to finishing. That has me wondering whether or not everybody will survive the suicide mission. Interesting.

My first play through I put Mordin with the Normandy because I thought that would be the safest place, but nope. Mordin died, but everybody else survived.

you mean the escort back to Normandy?

I think anyone who is loyal survives that task. not sure why he would die. I always put Mordin on escort duty(he has a very weak "hidden defense rating".

I did the same thing and he made it back alive, but he was loyal.

Its been forever ago, but I think I actually sent Grunt to guard the transport and Mordin might have been on one of the other teams. That makes more sense because I know everything was upgraded and everybody was loyal. Either way Mordin is dead to my first Shep.

If you had Mordin in the group that held the line, you had sent Grunt away and depending on who you selected with you, the defense amount might not have been high enough. If it was not high enough, the one in the group with the lowest defense would die.

My first playthrough nobody died. My second playthrough I sent Jack back with my rescued crew as an escort and she didn't make it. She wasn't loyal because I ticked her off earlier in the game and wouldn't sleep with her.

I can't remember who I sent the first time.
