Well, maybe we are both missing it...lol. I just got home and popped the game in to check...didn't see an option. If you import a character, you can see how certain ME plots played out, but you can't seem to edit them.

I know I read somewhere that you could though...maybe they scrapped the idea or were mistaken?

Someone posted a link that it was possible but I have no idea if it is. I'd check out the ME forums.

Yeah...pretty sure it's a no-go. I started a game with a new Shepard to check, and (in spoilers just in case people don't want to see anything about the intro for ME2)...

the opening scene where they give some brief background on Shepard's exploits automatically had him letting the counsel die. then you play through the intro scene and when you get to the character editor, it's only physical features.

Sound advice. I went there to try to get info on which plot points carry over and all I saw were people complaining about everything imaginable. It was damn scary. And I thought that I was passionate about this game

I think most of the choices for new, non-imported ME1 characters, are the neutral choices.

so a few things:

counsel dies. it was actually a neutral ending if you didn't do paragon/renegade ending. the reasoning is, concentrate on Sovereign instead of saving the counsel. the renegade is screw the counsel, kill sovereign. so not a lot of difference there.

I would guess that the neutral ending in this case would have a new counsel replacing the ones lost, plus a Human counsel member added. I believe at this point, you'll be able to choose who the human counsel member will be, either Anderson or Udina. while in the transport before you go meet Martin Sheen...err....Illusive Man. from what I've seen/heard, the counsel will not talk to you at all in this case, other than the one you picked for Human counsel. Udina is an *** in ME2 as well.

if you saved the counsel members in ME1, they will talk with you in ME2. they will not openly support you though, since you are working with Cerberus and some missions are in the Terminus systems(they don't want a war with them), but they can reinstate you as a spectre. I'm not sure what that gives you though.

as for Ashley/Kaiden. if you play as male, Kaiden died in ME1. Female, Ashley died. I think Wrex dies in that as well(not 100% sure on that).

I Imported a Paragon Vanguard that saved the counsel, so I could be wrong on some of those.

I'll have to check that out. I haven't even been to the Sol system yet in ME2.

No I remembered...

astronomers renamed Uranus in 2620 to end that stupid joke once and for all.

...so said the planet next to Pluto instead. EDI has special comments for it.

Also hilarious is a renegade femShep at the recruitment place during the Archangel mission.

You can get lots of discounts at the Cidatel if you import your character. You might be able to get them anyway but the bonus points for paragon/renegade make sure of it.

They really weren't joking when they said that they changed the uncharted worlds stuff, I'm on a mission now where I'm walking across the wreckage of a ship as it's on the edge of a cliff trying to find out why the ship crashed and whether anyone is still alive. The ship is teetering on the edge of the cliff and apparently can fall over.

They really weren't joking when they said that they changed the uncharted worlds stuff, I'm on a mission now where I'm walking across the wreckage of a ship as it's on the edge of a cliff trying to find out why the ship crashed and whether anyone is still alive. The ship is teetering on the edge of the cliff and apparently can fall over.

That mission is great.

Is it wrong of me to want the predicted 12" snow so I have an excuse to not attend class tomorrow?

As much as I've waited for this game, I'm going to wait longer. I beat Mass Effect twice, but it's been awhile ago so I'm going to go through it quickly and beat it again before I start ME2.

Too many damn games that I have backlogged that I need to get to. COD: MW2 has completely dominated my video game playing over the past few months so I'm way behind.

As much as I've waited for this game, I'm going to wait longer. I beat Mass Effect twice, but it's been awhile ago so I'm going to go through it quickly and beat it again before I start ME2.

Too many damn games that I have backlogged that I need to get to. COD: MW2 has completely dominated my video game playing over the past few months so I'm way behind.

This is why you plan ahead Knowing that Mass Effect 2 would own my soul, I put the game in and played on casual two times, hardcore once and started an insane run. My two casual games were complete opposites. I also did every single side mission during each run through (although I ran through much of the dialogue the second time). my renegade lesbian female was a level 55 after one playthrough on casual doing everything (including DLC). My male paragon was a level 57 when I finished because I got out of the Maeko to kill things the ENTIRE game. I also listened to the first Mass Effect book on my ipod on my way to and from work. I just wish I could play more than a couple hours a day except for the weekend.

Same boat here. Too many games just sitting due to no time for me to play. Do I really want to drop another 60.00 and get limited play time?
I'm still at work right now and won't get out until 8"ish or so...

Just no time to play. You guys are sure making the wait hard though....
