Yes...It's very true. It is missing loot variety of any kind and you don't get xp for killing things which are two things you kind of just assume is true in any rpg. Normally, I would be upset about the simplified (streamlined, in this case) gameplay, but it works for some reason. This is much better than the first Mass Effect.

I see Soldier seems to be the more popular class. when I last checked my friends list on Live, 6 people were playing ME2, 5 of them were soldiers. lol

personally, I don't like Soldier class. I like the Vanguard or Sentinel class better. Infiltrator is fun too. I guess I just like the mixed classes more than the "pure" classes.

You don't pick up specific weapons/armor/whatever but you find upgrades that will change what all that stuff does.

regarding classes as jsol (sorry about messing up name) was saying. I'm an infiltrator which is really cool, but for the bad-arse character I'm playing (think of kurt Russell mentality of escape from NY/LA) Soldier would have been a bit more fitting and I could eventually go with specialist squad mates...w/ the mix it's better to compliment with other mixes. I found in ME1 I was most effective on my more specialized play through with Tali full tech and either a full soldier or a full biotic. I was like a vanguard but almost fully sniper/shotgun guy. IDK, it's all good, but the guns and shooting are good enough that I will eventually play a full Soldier.

I kind of miss the Mako and wish we didn't have to wait for it's equivalent to come in future DLC.

Really impressed with the upgrade visually. Best lighting and shadowing I've seen for a game using UE3.

The Vorcha are ugly.

I kind of miss the Mako and wish we didn't have to wait for it's equivalent to come in future DLC.

I don't. Every time I start thinking this scanning thing could be better I remember trying to drive the Mako on Nordacrux and then it's not so bad.

Go to the local cluster and do the scan/probe thing on the planet next to Pluto. Launch 2.

Yeah, driving over rocky mountains only to get to the top and fall off is no good.

Scanning thing could be better but it ain't bad. I already got the upgrade for it so it's a little faster now.
