If you 100% hate sci-fi with a passion, I'd skip...there are aliens, ships, crap like that.

But in the end it's basically a story about someone trying to save the world from a evil force, and you have to gather a team up to the task.

The gameplay is fun shooter vs. what you think of as RPG, so it's definitely way easier for the average gamer. Plus you can just choose 'auto level up' for everything if you want so you don't have to think about any of that if you prefer.

I think if you import a character over the immersion factor is so more much more. It's almost kind of psuedo-realistic in that you feel that you ARE Shepard.

I found myself screaming at the tv during one mission "Edi get me out of here now!!!" Not too many games have an immersion factor that actually pull you into the game.

I agree. Knowing that the import feature was going to be bad ***, I spent over 60 hours creating two different Shepards (one male paragon and one female renegade). The male Shepard is how I would imagine me making decisions. The female did everything opposite of what I would do. I started ME2 with my male character and the world is so rich because I can see my decisions had consequences that carry over to the second game.

Mass Effect 2 sells 2 million in launch week

EA’s announced that Mass Effect 2 has sold over 2 million units during launch week.

It’s an outstanding achievement [no pun intended - JC] for a game which only launched in the US on Tuesday, and today in the UK and Europe.

Already, the game’s gotten fantastic scores and a meta of 96 on 360 and 95 for PC.

“Mass Effect 2 is poised to be one of the biggest games of 2010″, said BioWare boss Ray Muyzka. “We could not be more proud of the game’s universal acclaim and early commercial success.”

Top floor of the Normandy is the captain's cabin...you can customize your armor/outfits there, turn on a music player, and a few other things....

Same here, and I bought one of the expensive ones. Credits are hard to come by in this game.

If you flirt with your assistant Kelly enough and invite her to dinner she will offer to feed your fish for you when you are away. I havent had the cash to by new fish though.

I won't match that mark lol. I spent one real hour last night looking around the Normandy Crash Site. Just because I could. Playing through again?

That's a given. I knocked out all the loyalty missions and the side quests I had though I'm sure I missed some stuff from not exploring every planet. I went renegade on this play through though I handled most things paragon with civillians.

I'm not sure if I want to do a play through where I get the bad ending or not. I'm also excited to try out all the other classes. Shockwave is an awesome power.

agreed... I am at 11.5 hours (Plus 4 hours with other characters) and have not even scratched the surface of this game.
