Yeah I've jumped on the mercs each time as I rather strike first than let them strike. My second play through I'll let things play out but on this one I'm doing things as I see fit. The interruption scenes are also very cool.

Also I still have about three characters to recruit but am already having a issue with picking a team; just so many good and interesting characters. I keep switching between Jack, Grunt, Miranda, and Mordin. Haven't used Zaed yet even though I picked him up already.

I'm also doing it how I feel, which is why I usually end up as a pretty good character but a streak of retribution at times lol.

I have to buy the Zaeed DLC, need to put more points on my account. I'm using Archangel and Miranda, as well as the soldier guy (forget his name for some reason), need to come up with the best combo. Need to try Mordin too. So many options...even mining is kinda fun with the probes and scanner...

Yeah but it does get tedious at times. I wish there was a way to outline spots you already scanned. I've mined probably over 10 planets to depleted but have only one mining upgrade. I'm not mining anymore as I don't need anything right now and am going to wait till I fully upgrade the scanning system.

You won't be able to upgrade the scanning system without mining the planets, the material that you find laying around in certain places isn't going to give you enough to upgrade anything.

You won't be able to upgrade the scanning system without mining the planets, the material that you find laying around in certain places isn't going to give you enough to upgrade anything.

I have around 60-100k of each mineral except element zero. I've also upgraded a lot of items. I know that isn't a lot but should be good for at least one more upgrade.

So there are blue trigger interruptions too? I usually have just done the red (renegade) ones...I think I've only had them come up with Mercs so far, so still fit in with how I want my character to be (Paragon, but realistic...not everything is black and white). Usually I just have seen the red flashy trigger notification, so I can ignore that if I don't want to do that renegade thing and it'll continue on?

when Arch Angel gives you the sniper rifle in the cutscene and you look at the mechs with the scope, a blue(paragon) interrupt shows up where you can shoot the gun and kill one. kind of funny. Shepard will say something like, "yeah, but there is one less now." I'm pretty sure that was a blue interrupt at least. I could be wrong.

I know! I wasn't paying attention and missed it Awesome stuff though. I love how much story and character interaction are becoming more a part of games. I seriously spend half an hour or so after every mission talking to everyone and learning more about them...

One annoying thing is having to pay for fuel for the Normandy, but it's cheap enough where it doesn't bug me too much.

The Thresher Maw. Cool fight and I almost didn't think to go for the kill. Btw, the fact that Wrex was the last to do it further asserts him as a badass.

shove that dude out the window on that tower in illium? it was classic Schwatzenegger, as he's falling shepard says "goodbye"...and since I was with Jack, she's like "not bad Sheppard, I think I could learn something from you"

it's so cool how your squad retains their personality during missions. I'm sure there is some overlap, but bioware had to take into account like 16 different scenarios for many many situations.

I don't know about the rest of you, but at times I really miss the loot and the Experience system. I know half the loot in Mass Effect was useless, but it was always fun to customize your rifle with a Heat Dampening mod paired with a Damage mod for a never overheating gun. Add to that missing the sound of the Level Up chime that you get after you kill a couple of baddies in the Original and those are two things I miss the most in this sequel.

I don't miss the Mako though. I find the Scanning thing strangely addicting. Nothing confirms my nerdiness more than scanning a system that says "Depleted" only to find strong spikes of Element Zero.

I'm glad I'm not the only one. I was playing last night and really needed to go to bed, but I stayed up until about 1:30 mostly scanning planets. Yeah that whole "depleted" status they show for a planet is just to scare you off.

I'm glad I'm not the only one. I was playing last night and really needed to go to bed, but I stayed up until about 1:30 mostly scanning planets. Yeah that whole "depleted" status they show for a planet is just to scare you off.

Yeah, this game is killing my sleep. I had to wake up today at 8 at figured I'd go to sleep at 2. At 2:30 I look at the clock and I'm like damnit, can't quit and go to sleep mid-mission. I finally went to sleep at 3:30. lol

Today I'm getting at least 7 hours of sleep. That's my goal.
