Yes. If you make it white you'll like a storm trooper. If you don't have the Inferno armor it can be useful because of the 10% bonus like if you want to recruit a certian character or difuse a bad situation before you'd otherwise be able to. Though if you don't have too many credits it's probably not worth it at the exact time.

Oi guys...what should I pick here...on the *ship* and I have a choice of 3 upgrades as my vanguard....

AR Training...Claymore Heavy Shotgun...SR...I am thinking Assault rifle, I think that would pretty much make a vanguard complete..although it seems like the SMG suffices at long range, in which case I would want to do the shotgun, seeing as the one I currently have, and seeming like I will always have...

There are quite a few "celeb" guest voices on this game.

Martin Sheen as the Illusive Man.

I heard Michael Dorn ("Worf" from Star Trek: Next Generation) as a Krogan.

And now, I just landed on the Citadel and Commander Saul Tigh, of Battlestar Galactica, is in the greeting center.

Anyone else caught any famous voices in the game? (without revealing any spoilers of course).

I played as an infiltrator and took the AR and it's long range accuracy over the SMG is much better too me in comparing the two full autos. As soon as you starting firing the SMG the cross hairs go wide on you while the AR holds more steady.

Miranda is Yvonne Strahovski (Sarah from the tv show "Chuck")...

              Joker is Seth Green

The female Commander Shepard voice is done by voice actor Jennifer Hale, ie. Bastila from KOTOR among a ton of other roles...

I'm really digging Martin Sheen though, just a great voice for that character.

Yea it adds another dimension, but I sorta feel like it would make my team a lot more efficient if I am more efficient, as if I could go up and kill a guy in one shot when I charge compared to two or three, and then be able to get up to the next guy with one or two shots...but I don't know, it's a tough choice :/

And yea...Martin Sheen is great...I think the best 3 are Miranda, Shepard and the Illusive Man, Wrex is/was good too...

edit: I went with the AR Training...I will just wait for the upgrade, hopefully it is near as good as the clay shotty...

I was trying to figure out who Aria's voice was. Had to look it up on IMDB. It's Carrie-Anne Moss (Trinity in "The Matrix Trilogy").

the Asari(Aria?) that "runs" Omega Station is Trinity from the Matrix.
EDI, Normandy's AI, is Tricia Helfer from Battlestar Galactica.

22ish hours in and still don't have my whole team, along with all the loyalty stuff to do. This game rocks, i know there'll be even more after I do all that stuff first...
The widow is amazing and I have it fully upgraded, so I kill folks. I actually didn't even use the viper more than one mission because I already upgraded the power such that the first one was much better than using the viper.

The Widow though, is the ultimate boomstick.

I finally beat the game and now I want to go through it again with my other Shepard. At least now I won't be staying up to 4 am anymore trying to get as far as I can.

31 hours here and still 3 loyalty missions to do...plus i've been doing whatever side missions pop up or that I stumble on. Just addictive....

I ended up not using the Viper a ton because I got the Widow pretty soon after...my original sniper just wasn't powerful enough for me to make it worth the single shot....Widow just owns and single shot is fine, especially with the Infiltrator sniper pause...add in the assassin cloak and it's just not fair sometimes.
