Re: Mass Effect 2
Illium is a total nod to Coruscant as its depicted in the SW prequel trilogy. The highrises, sky tfraffic, the speeders, the sounds of the speeders (they sound lifted right out of the films), there's even the big round buildings shaped like the big round Senate building. Beautiful planet, my favorite in the game. Even some of the stuff on Omega seems like a nod in some aspects as well such as the holographic signage and the lighting in club Afterlife is very reminiscant of the club in episode II where Obi Wan and Anakin aprehend the assassin.LMAO...this is Illium
SpoilerIllium is the best planet by far...looks and everything, like the Hanar tv show...the Salarian reacting to the stripper...the Krogan poetry writer...and the best...Conrad Verner, I treated him nicely, and now he is acting just like me(except more renegade-like...and of course he says that he does what he needs to do to get the job done, no laws etc...just like I did in ME1
...and then the best part..."my wife was really supportive, she even payed the fair to send me here"
...I am sure you all already talked about that though.
I wish they made him a fat super hero wannabe...maybe ME3? I would love that. Make his look match his personality.Comment

Re: Mass Effect 2
Just got the Widow and that's much better...lots more damage even though it's single shot. The first sniper is just too slow and not powered enough, better if you have more stopping power.
22ish hours in and still don't have my whole team, along with all the loyalty stuff to do. This game rocks, i know there'll be even more after I do all that stuff first...Last edited by mgoblue; 01-31-2010, 04:03 AM.Nintendo Switch Friend Code: SW-7009-7102-8818Comment

Re: Mass Effect 2
Is everyone playing this on normal? I've had the game but I didn't want to start until I finished my Level 60 playthrough on ME1. I'm coming fresh off of two Insanity playthroughs, one from scratch and one with a newgame+ (for level 60). I'm planning on just playing through on normal once and then upping it but I wonder if the gap between Normal and Insanity is larger than it was in ME1.Comment

Re: Mass Effect 2
I'm playing on Veteran. I thought that it replaced Hardcore so when I started the game I didn't get to that but I'll just do Hardcore when I go through it again and then Insanity after that. The only reason I went through on insanity in the first game was to get the achievement and there were some really hard parts but it wasn't too bad. Veteran is pretty difficult sometimes so I know insanity is going to be ridiculous. Is everyone playing this on normal? If I went any bigger, it would not have properly fit with my equipment, so I had to optimize. I'm okay with it, but I also know what I'm missing with those five inches. :)Comment

Is it possible to get enough ammo for the M-920 Cain to fire off more than 1 shot?Comment

Re: Mass Effect 2
I am playing it on vet...much harder than hardcore on ME1..
edit: for those of you who have finished the assassin...
SpoilerDoes the Eclipse soldier end up giving you info? I just decided to push him off because I doubted he was going to give anything up
... and also it does have a star wars feel to it..so does Omega, I guess they watched some star wars etc. for some inspiration. And this game is so much better than ME1...they made it feel more epic, better combat, the aliens are all great...the Salarians are awesome, they are all how they should be imo. Re: Mass Effect 2
Unfreakingbelievable....
I just finished Mordin's loyalty quest, chose to stick around and not leave yet in the converations...
Well after looking around the room, getting some more stuff, it says "Press B to end the mission".
Guess what?
I press B....the mission doesn't end. I'm just running around, trapped in this room, unable to get out and end the mission.

So...FYI, if you play Mordin's loyalty quest, DON'T pick "leave later"...pick "leave now".
Otherwise...you'll be like me, trapped in limbo.AUBURN TIGERS

Re: Mass Effect 2
if something like that happens, you could always save as new file, reload that file, and then try to leave mission again. that might work.Unfreakingbelievable....

I had something similar happen on the PC version. I couldn't open a locked box, but I saved/reload and I was able to open it then.Comment
