You prefer using L1/R1? That was the one thing I really didn't like about the Uncharted games.Ryan Spencer

Re: Red Dead Redemption
You can play around in the public free roam area and fight the hideouts again by yourself. Sometimes other people online will join you and help and sometimes they'll join you just to kill you. I suppose you could create a private free roam session and go take on the hideouts by yourself. They are much tougher online than they are in the story mode, but still possible by yourself.
What it has is pretty much what I was looking for. At first I was under the impression that it was strictly multiplayer battles, but I found out that the gang hideouts are A.I controlled. Thats what I was looking for. The game isn't based on whether someone else is playing with you or not.
Dont really mind other people in the same map. Want to try and kill me? Thats cool, I'll shoot it out with ya. The ganghideouts are great though.
I understand its a game but the fire pistols and all that super power **** takes away from the immersion.Comment

Re: Red Dead Redemption
Been playing this along with Fallout 3. Love it.
First time I got stuck up by a band of bandits, I was killed for just standing there and thinking about my next move. One of the bandits even said something to the effect of: "He's not listening. Kill him."
Second time, as soon as they jumped out, I broke out quickly. I went into town and prepared myself. Thought I could take them down. They killed me.
I'm also learning how to play poker on this game. Can't hate on that."It may well be that we spectators, who are not divinely gifted as athletes, are the only ones able to truly see, articulate and animate the experience of the gift we are denied. And that those who receive and act out the gift of athletic genius must, perforce, be blind and dumb about it -- and not because blindness and dumbness are the price of the gift, but because they are its essence." - David Foster Wallace
