Re: Max Payne 3
For whatever reason the multiplayer has it's hooks in me. Plus I spent about 2 hours making my crew emblem. The editor they provide is pretty robust.Comment

Re: Max Payne 3
I just finished part 2 also and i feel the same way. The first thing I said when he was flying away was, "I know this son of a ***** didnt just do that.." That was the first time this game has made me get into my feelings even thoughSpoilerI knew someone was backstabbing me this entire time. When I was ambushed at Rodgrico's building, I knew in my head that it could not be a coincidence that Passo, Victor, and the policemen just so happens to leave before we are attacked.Comment

Re: Max Payne 3
F-ing Rockstar has done it again!!! What a beautiful crafted game.- The physics are impressive
- The Presentation Elements in the story are Movie like
- The gun play is flat out fun as all hell
- The brutality is GREAT!!
- MULTIPLAYER!!
The little pop ups of key words being said is such a small of creative touch to immerse you in the story. The physics combined with the gun play just feels so fluid and realistic.
Ohh and the multiplayer is fantastic!! I had a round last night where I finished 2nd (I thought I had top performer). I went 19-5 on team deathmatch. The map was the junk yard I think it is called. It has some burnt out buses.
I have been using the Snitch loadout, with the SMG unlimited stamina and faster health regen. I had one moment of all night that stuck with me. I was on the second story of the building that has the bus right out side. I merc two guys as I come up the stairs, the second guy attempted to run but I dump a clip in his back. The physic engine is so great it showed him stumbling then he fell out the window!! I then kneel down and loot the other guys body. SMG CLIP!! Needed that, I then back up and take out full sprint. Right as I reach the window I activate a diving bullet time and destroy two guys as I am in mid flight to the ground. It felt epic, it looked epic, yessss it was epic!! :wink:Last edited by Phobia; 05-21-2012, 08:42 AM.Comment

Re: Max Payne 3
I received a patch this morning. Its 59 MB and the patch notes have not been released yet
Last Tuesday Max Payne 3 launched, and since then, fans have been complaining about and reporting a variety of problems with the game. The patch is 59mb and currently there is no word on what was changed or anything along those lines, but surely Rockstar will give a change log within the next day or […]Comment

Re: Max Payne 3
I think the best part so far for me is the physics. There have been several times now that I got shot because I was busy watching a guy fall from my shot. I love when they are close to a ledge or glass and you wonder where the bullet's direction will take them. Sometimes they'll fall off the ledge, sometimes they'll fold up in a corner.F-ing Rockstar has done it again!!! What a beautiful crafted game.- The physics are impressive

Re: Max Payne 3
Yea I think the euphoria engine really shines in the Rockstar games. The way guys stumble and really try to maintain their balance. The way things can happen you didn't expect. I shot a guy coming down some stairs in the leg and it kicked his leg back and locked his knee up, then then fell forward and tumbled down the stairs. Didn't expect that to happen but it was amazing to watch.I think the best part so far for me is the physics. Hell even in multiplayer the way the concussion of a explosive can knock your balance off and you fall is creative & nice addition.
All in all I am very happy with everything Rockstar has down. Since GTA III they have been on a roll. GTAIII, Vice City, San Andreas, GTAIV, Lost and Damned, Ballad of gay tony, Red Dead, and now Max Payne 3. I know Naughty Dog gets a ton of praise for the Uncharted series but I put Rockstar games slightly in the lead when it comes to a developer you can count on releasing a fantastic product worthy of the price tag.Comment

Re: Max Payne 3
yesterday I went 40-21 in a deathmatch game. I'm really getting the hang of the MP. I love it.
I love looting people

Re: Max Payne 3
I'm getting routinely destroyed in multiplayer. I think I'm going to try that "snitch" loadout. I've been using soldier, but there doesn't seem to be an advantage to using the heavier weapons.XBL: Mean Greene

Re: Max Payne 3
Range is what I notice the most. With the light SMG, don't try to engage guys with the AK at range. They will eat you up. Instead use your sprint and dodge to get in close. THEN....come out in bullet time and destroy them.
You can get some longer distance kills with the SMG but it is mainly on guys already hurt. I think the biggest plus for the Snitch loadout is the speed of health regen. Looting is also really important because you will run out of ammo quickly and with no backup weapon you need to not leave you defenselessComment
