The patch is suppose to have fixed the glitches and freezing in some spots when you perform certain actions.

I have to say, I don't know how far along the game I am (I think I've eclipsed the 20 hour mark) and I just got to Venice, but I absolutely love what they've done to distinguish each area (and even the Villa Auditore's transformation after renovating the city and such). I think Flori is now my new Acre, because I absolutely despised Acre because it was bland and made me feel miserable each time I went there. Perfect touch.

I just got to the tombs/3 treasure chest underground. Have no clue how far I am into the game. I do know I have logged about 8 hours total.

If you didn’t get your fill of Ezio’s adventure and feel like you missed something in his DNA sequence, Ubisoft will have some answers in January and February provided by downloadable content for Assassin’s Creed 2. Today, Ubisoft released price points for both DLC packs.

As if there isn’t enough to do in the game, with tons of side quests to complete, the Battle of Forli and Bonfire of the Vanities downloadable content packs will help to fill gaps in Ezio’s DNA Sequences missing from the original storyline of AC 2. Sequence 12: Battle of Forli will cost $3.99 USD, while Sequence 13: Bonfire of the Vanities will cost $4.99 USD.

The Battle of Forli will include six new memories that task Ezio with helping Machiavelli and Caterina Sforza to defend Forli from the nasty Orsi Brothers. The goal is to keep a Piece of Eden from landing into Templar possession. Perhaps the most exciting prospect is getting another ride in Leonardo’s flying machine.

The Bonfire of the Vanities gives gamers a new place to explore in Florence and gives Ezio the new spring-jump move.

Yeah, kind of pisses me off too. LOL! I recently sold the game since I got the platinum already, so maybe down the road I can check these out. Good thing they are only charging $9 and not anything more than that like some companies do.

If it felt like the game was missing something then I would complain but these missions have nothing to do with the main story. I felt completely fine with this game before I even knew the DLC existed.

You can say that about a lot of the inclusions in the game, such as the tombs.

Stand on either side of the fence regarding this issue as there is no right or wrong. Either way, it's not ridiculous to feel like this is content that could've been included in the shipped version of the game as opposed to being "added on" for an extra price. (quotations as I use that very loosely in this case)

If the game wasn't already huge than maybe I would be upset about this. And they don't have anything to do with the story. It seems to be a great deal for the content you get, each DLC is about 1GB.

Its clear that they planned this from the beginning though.

Just beat it last night, but the ending (and Subject 16's truth video) kind of threw me off. I wasn't expecting that at all.

I absolutely love the randomness of things in this game. So I was roof hopping when a pickpocket came along. I starting pursuing him and he drew the attention of a roof archer so it was the archer and I chasing him. Well, I threw a knife at the pickpocket, which stopped him from running. The archer drew out his sword and slashed the guy, knocking off the building to his death. I go down just to investigate and so does the archer and archer who killed him went "hey, who did this?" LOL.

Agreed. Each part of the final mission/ending is so epic, I was just sitting there with my jaw on the floor. And after the credits I had a big *** grin on my face and I want ACIII to get here ASAP.

This game is just such an awesome improvement on the first one in every way, its insane to think its the same series. There's just so much badass stuff in the game that even when I beat it I was still finding things I loved. The disarm and counter kills were very entertaining and made the fighting system rewarding in a sense. I never got tired of fighting like I did in the first game. I love how Leonardo was incorporated. When I first read he was in the game as basically Q, I thought it was going to be corny but it was pretty entertaining.

I know there will be more Animus stuff, but honestly I want to play as Desmond. I think playing as him after the credits was just a whole different level of badassness. Its going to be interesting to see exactly where the series goes now. Obviously they aren't going to leave the Animus mechanic, but I definitely want to play as Desmond more in a "present" world setting. It doesn't matter to me where they go, but I think it would be cool (whether in the next installment or down the road) play during the Revolutionary War or early days of the US. I think Russia would be cool, too.

The more I play this, the more I think it would be awesome to basically play the same engine but play as a ninja in Feudal Japan era. The gameplay would be perfect for it.
