Having a ninja guy would be great. And yeah, I still keep thinking about how great that ending was. As soon as the music came in with the credits I just wanted to keep going.

I finished it over the weekend. Man, I also wished it never ended. Now on to my other backlog of games.

I really hope they don't go to WWII like some people are speculating. I think the Civil War would be pretty nice (maybe like DC/Philadelphia/New York?) and have the Lincoln assassination in there in some way - would be pretty epic. American Revolution would also be pretty cool - or Russia. It seemed like a lot of The Truth clues were set in first half of the 20th Century though...

I think that may be just because it is the american industrial revolution..and modernization...and also the most that we can relate to that makes sense and so on. I doubt they will put it in a time where there are guns. It would be BLEH. I would just feel like it is way too unrealistic..even though I am an awesome assassin..beating a dude with a gun-I guess it could work in the gun powder age...another one people are missing though is the Muslim empire...donno how well that would work...personally I hope Russia, Spain, French Revolution, maybe Africa...I think Africa could work because of the slave trade/Dutch encampment and so on...I think they could really put the slave trade in an entire new light exposing a "conspiracy" with of course the templars behind it.

With what went on with the Subject 16 puzzles, i'm leaning toward the industrial revolution era of the US as the next Animus locale.

Though in trying to figure out what places they could go that had major cultural events between the 15th century and current, most of the stuff wouldn't fit with the Templars being involved. Example, the Ming dynasty in China and the Waring States in Japan.

OK I like everything about AC1 except the main complaint, how it was incredibly repetitive. I couldn't get too far because I just couldn't hold interest in the same exact thing over and over.

This one a little more well-rounded? Seems like you guys are saying so.

Dude... Just go for it. Every complaint I had about the first game was answered and corrected in this game. Top to bottom it's phenomenal.

I really like it, but still wish it was more like mass-effect in a way. I also think it's a little too spread out in a way that's hard to explain. there are very few areas I really get to know, compared to gta3 for example which did a good job of making areas familiar quickly.

I don't know...I really like it, but I'm glad I rented it, even if I have to rent it one more time that's fine. Maybe i still feel burned by the first one.

No I'm with ya. I rented it too. I never played the first one. But this one I fell in love with, but started souring on me at the end. I just got kinda bored. Seemed like I was doing the same thing over and over I guess.

It was REALLY cool for awhile, but I can't explain it, just got too repetitive for me so I just sent it back and watched the ending on Youtube.

really? i thought the missons where very good and had a variety of them that were different.

the story was awesome as well, after looking back on the game i gotta say it was my 2nd favorite game this year behind uncharted 2,

                          Re: Assassin's Creed 2

I never finished the first game but after beating the AC 2 I wanted to go back and play again so I could see the differences and there are some major ones and not the repetitive play types.

They really improved on the fluidity of the movement around the universe. I missed not having a walk fast button and assassinate while hanging but I did like the hit a button to auto blend in. I used the blend much more in my first hours of time playing the first game then I used the whole game of AC2. I did feel that AC2 was very easy as I wasn't chased by guards very often and when I did the other citizen's usually didn't affect my get away. Last night though the guards were constantly on to me and in one chase sequence the normal citizens hampered me a couple of times from getting to my target. In AC2 it may have been that I kept my level low the whole game but I never felt threatened by the guards and only lost maybe one sword fight but in AC1 the guards were more aggressive and it just seemed more aware.

I am finding that I like the gameplay more in the first game but really enjoyed the story of the second so hopefully the third game will hit the sweet spot.

I got this for Christmas and just started playing today. I didn't play the first one and I must really suck because I can't even get past the sibling rivalry race. Any tips or do I just need to keep practicing?

just practice. not having played the first one means the free-run system is completely new to you, as opposed to just being slightly tweaked for those who had played AC1. you'll get the hang of it pretty quickly i think.
