Re: Fallout: New Vegas
I'm about 4.5 hours in and I just had my first freeze on the 360S. Was exploring the wastes. Up to that point, it was doing just fine.
I've been saving constantly. Like more than I normally would.
And damn... The cowboy rifle kicks *** with the new iron sight aim.Last edited by CC; 10-19-2010, 10:40 PM.Comment

Re: Fallout: New Vegas
Well it doesnt have a bat, ball, glove, or helmet........but I really enjoyed F3, so we picked this badboy up tonight. Hoping I get the same enjoyment out of this one, as I did F3.Twitch - bluengold34_osComment

Actually 3 had all of those. The bat was the first weapon you got and there was a glove and ball right next to it. Could find helmets later.Comment

Re: Fallout: New Vegas
From everything I've read, everyone is having problems, even guys with high-end PCs. Par for the course for both Bethesda and Obsidian, unfortunately. Just have to deal and/or hope for a substantial patch.Comment

Re: Fallout: New Vegas
Ok I ran into a problem right before I went to bed last night. I needed 25 Speech to do a mission so I did another mission, ranked up, and got my Speech to 25. So I go back to do this mission and it still says my speech is 17/25 so I cant do the mission. Awesome. My dog's butt smells like cookiesComment

Well it looks like I'll hold off on picking this up, at least for the short term. Look like I'll tackle Fable III, Kirby, and Castlevania first.

Somewhat annoyed I had to skip a mission because the woman just stood there instead of leading me to wherever on the map. This was still in the starter town, they couldn't even make sure all the starter stuff worked?Aaron

Re: Fallout: New Vegas
Gonna try and write this without having to use spoilers, so it may be a little confusing.
Just a tip... I'm a little over 6 hours in and currently at level 6 with my character. In one of the major side quests that you need to complete to continue the main quest line, you need either a speech or barter skill to be at 50 to talk down the price on an important object. This lady wants me to pay 500 caps, which I refuse to do even though I have over 1000 caps currently because I have a feeling that I will not get a reward from the people I will be giving this object to because they are quite odd (ALA people from Oasis).
I may just end up killing her because I have no other available quests and can't find any. But, I need to level up one more level before I can get to 50 in speech, so it's a little bit frustrating.Comment

Re: Fallout: New Vegas
OK... so yeah. I saved before I did it, but I iced her. She's just a sweet little old lady, but she had a key that opened up an average locked box with the thing I needed.
On top of that, she had an absolutely bad *** weapon. No joke. It is worth over 2000 caps LOL. So at this point Icing her is definitely the way to go, all you have to do is fight off a few dogs and kill her before she uses her weapon.
I'm not going to delete the save though, just in case there is a later quest that involves her. Because I remember the violin lady had an awesome weapon as well in FO3.
UPDATE: And I didn't get squat from the people I did all the bogus work for.Last edited by CC; 10-20-2010, 10:25 AM.Comment
