No problems here but not that far yet...

I'm looking forward to playing a long time tonight, it's been a busy week so far. This weekend will get a lot of playing time!

So the guys that aren't having as much problems as most are holding off on the patch. I am about 7 hours in and i did not have one freeze yet and i really haven't seen any weird glitches. So do you think i should hold off on the patch cause i read a few that said it may have caused other problems. Oh and by the way this game is so good, yeah it does help that i loved FO 3

If you aren't experiencing any issues, hold off.

The funniest thing I have seen so far was I was fast traveling to New Vegas and I ran to the security Checkpoint, well I heard a commotion behind me and it was someone trying to rob me. Well the Securitrons were having none of that and opened up on him point blank which resulted in a absolute bloody mess

                Re: Fallout: New Vegas

Anyone else not really going all good or evil? I set out with plans to be an evil SOB, but refuse to pass up opportunities for XP, so I typically finish each quest, most giving good karma. I typically steal everything as well. I plan on siding with Caesar this playthrough, but I also don't want to be attacked every time I walk by an NCR facility, so I haven't followed through yet with completely siding with Caesar.

I also finally found the Ranger Sequoia gun. It's on Hanlon at Camp Golf. Only problem is, it can't be pickpocketed, and the only way to get it I know of is to kill him. No matter where I kill him, I lose NCR fame, and everyone tries to attack me on the way out. I managed to kill him and then just fast travel to Camp Mccallan, but they immediately fired on me, even with neutral fame. Oh well. Guess i'm eventually gonna have to bite the bullet and off him, cause I REALLY want that gun.

                  Re: Fallout: New Vegas

I've been reading at the fallout new vegas forums and a ton of people are having issues post patch. For instance, some people are getting a black screen when trying to enter the the strip area where all the casinos are. Some people are claiming once they get into a casino and when they try to get out, there game freezes.

Anyway, I haven't downloaded the patch and have played for about 8 hours already. Should I even download the patch and risk it or just keep playing without the patch. I haven't had any problems Pre patch. Anyone having major issues after they downloaded the patch?

I'd say don't download the patch, especially with all the issues you mentioned there. I didn't download it and have played for about the same amount of time as you and have not had a single issue(yet). Go patchless until they put an actual, functioning patch out there.

If I went any bigger, it would not have properly fit with my equipment, so I had to optimize. I'm okay with it, but I also know what I'm missing with those five inches. :)

Same can be said for Bethesda. I've learned to deal with it, and thankfully neither Oblivion or FO3 hit me with bugs all too often. Sure, there were some hiccups here and there, but none of this gamebreaking stuff i'm hearing about.

There are certainly a bunch of technical bugs in this game, but again, nothing gamebreaking for me so far.

Keeping a running tally of my lockdowns, up to 6 now in probably around 12 or 14 hours. Actually not too bad, considering. Have only had one instance where I had two lockups back-to-back, otherwise I've been able to get several hours in before one pops up, then if I fire the game right back up, I can keep going for several more hours before I get another. Ironically it seems like the game's running better the more I play; I feared the opposite.

Aside from that, I really, really, REALLY like this game. The depth and scope of the game's morality and choice-factor is unlike anything I've ever played. I'm sure there have been deeper games, choice-wise, but I haven't played them.

I was having a hard time getting into it, thinking FO3 was the better game. I think I've officially changed my tune. I think this game better now.

8/10 even with the bug and freezes. A proper patch could push this game in to the 9.5 area.

                          I love it.

I have had 2 freezes in 11:30 (that's the time on the save, that doesn't count that I restarted once and the times I set a save to mess around). One was a freeze while loading (roulette ball stopped) the other freeze was during gameplay (nothing was going on, just turned around and stop). Haven't had any scripting issues, just the one flying corpse and the corpse stuck under the door.

Oh and I just made it to the Repconn basement and

How the heck do you get into the strip? I can't find a passport or a fake passport anywhere and there's no way I can get that many caps quickly...
