Re: Fallout: New Vegas
I've had 5 lock-ups in ~20 hours of play time. Which isn't too bad, and haven't seen too many glitches, just the type of stuff you'd expect to see in a Bethesda game. I save enough that it doesn't really matter if it freezes anyways.
Really enjoying the game still, currently tied with RDR for my favorite this year, and I haven't finished it yet.
The funniest part of the game thus far for me was when I was trying to make it to Nellis Air Force Base for the first time.
SpoilerI didn't see the note from the guy that gave you directions on how to get by all the mortar fire, so I just went right in there, and got blown to hell the first time. I was like WTF? The second time I tried to just go balls out and sprint all the way there while trying to dodge all of the mortars and missiles. Made it a lot farther than I thought I would, but still was a ways away from the gate. Finally the third time, I looked for the note with directions and made it.
Also, on the quest where you are trying to find a sheriff...
SpoilerAm I the only one who went with the former sheriff who was in prison. I went and talked to him, and he seemed like a stand-up guy, so I went and got him a pardon, and made him sheriff. I went back to the town recently and it was an absolute ghost town. The only people I saw were the NCR guys in the corner of town.
I was listening to the radio and MR. New Vegas gave me an update though, and had an interview of the swearing in ceremony. And my sheriff said something along the lines of... "If you don't play it straight, I'll kill you dead." I guess he might have been the wrong guy.
In terms of who I sided with...
SpoilerI can't stand the d-bags in Caesar's Legion so I screwed them over. I even tried to free Benny, but we were no match because we had no weapons or stimpacks, and I only had half of my health. So I just reloaded and killed him. But Caesar's Legion absolutely despises me now, and I think I'm about to go to war with them, because I also killed Mr. House and sided with Yes Man so I would get complete control of New Vegas. Muahhaaha.Last edited by CC; 10-23-2010, 11:47 AM.Comment

Re: Fallout: New Vegas
SpoilerI think it's in a bar. Mick's & ??? or something like that
Did anyone here get locked out of the strip? That'd suck on the console version. I'm not sure if that's just a PC bug...yup happens on the console. Can fix it on PC.Last edited by goh; 10-23-2010, 03:41 PM.Comment

SpoilerI asked one about their specialty items and he said I had to get permission from the King first. I went looking for the King but I couldn't find him anywhere.Kansas City Royals | FC Barcelona | New Orleans Pelicans

I've heard this "patience is a virtue" junk all my life. I'm happy to say I have no virtue, no scruples, and no desire to wait too long for anything. In my humble opinion instant gratification takes too long!

Re: Fallout: New Vegas
You get a choice to download the patch. If you choose not to then you can't connect to Xbox Live while playing that specific game that requires a patch.Comment

Re: Fallout: New Vegas
There are two locations where he appeared for me... one is in the room to the left as soon as you walk in (a member is guarding the door - can't remember if you have to talk to him to get access to that room or not). The other is the third floor, he is usually sitting in a chair in one of the rooms.Comment
