Here's a post I put on the official game forum in a Xbox bugs thread, my game is jacked up at a point, so frustrating. Wanted to post my problem here so people can be careful, though some people are reporting the same issue even a long time after this quest.

My update with the DLC/Storage Device save won't load issue:

I've got it around the "Come Fly With Me" finale.
I had it with my original playthrough, but luckily my oldest of 5 saves didn't get corrupted.
I tried playing through with that, it saves just fine until I complete the quest (

) and try to save when I'm supposed to go to the observation deck.
Saves after I complete the quest are jacked and cannot load them.

I really hope they fix this ASAP, because lots of people are unable to play their games. It's not like a sports game where you can do "quick play" or something. We put hours and hours into this game and now I'm so worried to play because I hate losing my progression. It's just so frustrating to get sucked into a game and not be able to play it.

I played about 2 hours tonight just exploring. I've been aiming down the sights more and made an awesome kill. There was a wild dog awhile away and I aimed with my vibrant rifle and killed it in one shot.

This game has easily the worst Design decision for any game in 2010. To make a game where the mainquest is so short and not allowing the player to keep on playing is just insane to me. They have a ton of side quests which is awesome but I keep hearing people who just got F'ed because they always overwrite saves and get to a point of no Return.

I digress...

What is your Favorite Weapon. For me it is the Marksman Carbine. I love the semiautomatic with a scope.

Ranger Sequoia, followed closely by Hunting Shotgun.

I'm a ways into the main story, but I recall hearing that they make it blatantly obvious when the game is going to end. Is that not the case?

This is what I was thinking. I read numerous times that they gave a clear "point of no return" warning. So if true, why not just hold off on the main quest?

I do think it is a bad design decision not to make it open-ended.

Wearing faction armor doesn't work on everybody, security personnel see through it.

I had my game running and I knew I was 99% done with the Wild Card quest (one of the optioned quests right before the final battle), and I didn't want to commit to the battle yet, so I left and wandered around doing side quests for the past few days.

Finally today, I was in a "getting acheivements" mode, so I saved right before I went to commit to doing the battle, and went and committed. I got the Wild Card achievement, and then a window popped up and said "are you sure you want to commit to going to battle, you will not be able to go back and explore."

I clicked No, and went back to messing around so the game didn't end.

So, to answer you guys... Yes it DOES give you plenty of warning for when the game ends.

But the main story line is depressingly short.

Got my first follower Boone aka the badass sniper from Novac and now we're a wandering Sniper team travelling the Mojave kickin A and poppin' heads. Its awesome because the NCR comments on it "WOW I wish i had a 1st Recon ranger watching my back"

I have non-tainted saves, but spent half an hour trying to get past the quest I'm on and it always gets the DLC load glitch where it's corrupted.

Frustrating how I can't go on cause even if I skipped finishing it I'd worry I'd get the glitch elsewhere...I'm hoping they patch it this week, otherwise I'm getting Fable now and shelving this until it's fixed.

Sucks cause I have all of next week off too, was really hoping to have this to play a bunch. I've tolerated any other annoyances/quirks, but when your saves get screwed up and you actually can't play the game it's horrible.

Boone is Awsome, I have not met any other companions but I doubt any could be as bad a** as that dude.

FYI: If you guys have the weathered 10MM pistol(gamestop DLC), do not attach a laser to it, it causes a glitch.

I screwed up with Boone so I can't get him as a companion, got lazy and didn't fully pay attention to what I had to do with his quest. So I'm a lone gunman traveling the Wasteland, loving the cowboy rifle that takes .357

ED-E is great to have for his perk. The only other companion I have is Victoria and she jst keeps dieing.
