    Re: Fallout: New Vegas

Just curious, What traits are you guys going with? I didn't want to be hampered too much in anything, so I decided to go with Wild Wasteland and Trigger Discipline.

Can you change these, or am I stuck with them for the game?

You can cheat to change them if it's like FO3. ( forgot console version, you're stuck)

Anyway just in case anyone was wondering:

You can just play through the storyline if you want, but the big part of these games are the 40ish hours of random exploration and quests you can stumble onto.

I wouldn't let the RPG aspect scare you though, it's not like a Final Fantasy type thing at all, more just giving you options on how you want to play.

        thanks brother.
        sounds good to me.

I now see why people are complaining about the freezing... this is very frustrating.

Have any OSers with the PS3 had any freezing? I've only heard of slim 360's having issues with freeze.

I've read people experiencing freezing with all versions of the game. More on the 360 though.

At the 3 hour mark, and just experienced my first slight frame-rate drop on the 360 S. No freezes yet, but to be safe I turned it off to let it rest.

I think I accidentally started it up from the disk and not the hard drive this time though, so it's possible that caused it. Other than that no issues yet for me. Really enjoying it so far.

I think once the game is installed it automatically starts from hdd.

I really want this, but man, so many good games come out this month. Every year, too. My birthday is at the end of the month and I usually just wait until then to treat myself to some game purchasing. This is at the top of my list this year, hands down as I thoroughly enjoyed F3. Hopefully the freezing gets worked out, as that's my number 1 pet peeve when it comes to games.
But, man, I hate waiting...I must resist the urge to buy New Vegas for just 12 more days. This game looks too awesome.

There's just way too many good games out right now!

Really... I didn't know that. I've always wondered it though. It is such a pain to go into my recent games and launch the game from there instead of the main screen, but I always did that because I thought I read somewhere that you have to.

I agree with ndhusker... it's going to be very difficult for me to find time to play everything I've gotten and will be getting soon. I still put a lot of time into NCAA, haven't really had time for Madden so I might just sell it, recently bought Fifa and NBA, which I love both. Just got this, and plan on getting Fable, Black Ops and AC: Brotherhood in the next month. At least I'll never get bored with my games I suppose.
