early reviews not so favorable, at least from one perspective. IGN says the controls are very laggy and likely made that way to cover up framerate issues (which is the same reason Killzone 2 had laggy controls).

I'm about to download it myself to find out what it's like, but if the controls are laggy like IGN says then there's absolutely no way I can get this game.

Seems like it looks pretty standing still, but kind of a mess when it's moving.

hmm i had no issues with the lag...i guess im just used to it or i just dont notice it enough...

the game itself...feels generic to me..i just couldnt get into it...

I didn't think the controls were laggy. I was able to spin around when needed after increasing the sensitivity. I think the real it feels laggy to some is because your player has momentum. When you are in a full sprint and hit jump or crouch you can really feel the momentum in your leap or baseball slide.

I really like this.

Yeah, the IGN article I read made it sound like it controlled like Killzone 2, and it most definitely does not. In addition to your point about the momentum, you also have slower aim when ADS/in scope, which makes sense though I'm sure people who play any CoD a lot won't like it.

Played some games earlier and had some fun but I'm still not sold, especially with all the other awesome titles coming out this year.

Yeah...at this point I'd rather get Homefront and KZ3 over this.

just played about 4 matches...

Like
the traversing through the environment
the speed
the nano suit powers
the graphics
the amount of combat diversity compared to twitch aim in coD
depth to the combat (evading, stealth, jump stomping, cloaking, armor, sliding, etc)

Dislike
field of view felt a bit narrow
sound effects (your footsteps are too loud) directional sound not as evident as other games
really fast for a first timer but started to grow on me
a little slow on the aiming (I turned sensitivity up to 50 and that helped)
Not fast enough to find/enter matches

Played it and deleted it. It's not a bad game at all. Controls are fine, graphics are beautiful, but the game has nothing going for it. It's just a run of the mill FPS to me.

Did anyone else experience a lot of console freezes after playing a match? It happend 3 consecutive times after a match for me as I had to turn my console off and then on again.

I played for about an hour and had no problems.


I could see how some people would think the game doesn't have much going for it, but it just hooks me.

Hope that isn't a sign of my system going out or something...

I liked the game as well. I love that slide/vault mechanic. It's very easy on the eyes as well. Something tells me the singleplayer component will be more engaging than MP.

Played it and enjoyed it. Only had problems with the time it takes to find a match, but it wasn't that bad really, and the pop in really got on my nerves. Played the toher 2 Crysis games and enjoyed both. But I think I might like this one better since it is on the XBOX and my TV. Still wish we were on the island though.

It froze on me while waiting for a match to begin....... : (

It took 3 minutes just for people to even join the room, then got a room full of people and the damn thing freezes......SMH

OMG baseball slide is a thing of beauty...........

I baseball slid and killed 2 guys who were camping while slidding.......Total bad arsery right there. Doesn't seem like it will be any sound whoring in the game what so ever because you can't tell what direction the footsteps is coming from.

I do love the cloak and the armor, along with the super jump as well.

The only thing that ruins this game for me is the melee.... cloak+melee=stupid. With Brink and Homefront coming, I don't think I would play this for that long....
