Crysis 2

Crysis, the gorgeous sci-fi shooter from German developer Crytek Frankfurt, is a PC game. So is its sequel, Crysis 2 — that, and an Xbox 360 and a PS3 game.

The game is the second entry in the planned Crysis triology and will be published by EA. "The development of Crysis 2 marks a major stepping stone for our studio," said Cevat Yerli, CEO and President of Crytek. "This is not only the next game in the Crysis franchise, it's the first title we are developing for consoles and the first title being built on CryENGINE 3."

No word on a release date.

lol i can hear all the PC elitist baaaawww right now...Crysis to me was just meh...i do have a monster machine that can handle the graphics but Crysis looks boring to me, even though its pretty to look at it just didnt really appeal to me...

there were more far better FPS out that was superior to Crysis...graphics isnt everything...

ive bought all the games to PC since ive been spoiled by the super high res graphics...im waiting for the latest RE5 to hit PC this summer..

I'm not concerned with the graphics, but the playability. Far Cry 2 ran like straight crap on the 360.

same here. also FC2 was by a different developer and had nothing to do with crytek makers of Crysis



Anyways i'm cool with this. i don't really have a real pc and this was one of the games i always wanted to play

agreed, I find it hard to believe they would not release the first Crysis, when no one has really played it. Cyrsis 1+2 would be an amazing combo like the Orange Box...

because the first crysis is not possible on consoles. crytek stated a long time ago, "Crysis, in its current form, is not possible on consoles".

That game would have to be gutted to the point where it's not even the same game.

I just hope they don't ruin Crysis 2 for the PC just because they are also making it for consoles.

CryEngine 3 demo running on PS3. Again, very impressive, especially the outdoor scene.

Pretty impressed by the work they did to get it to run and look so nice on the ps3. The only thing that looked lacking in regards to the pc game was the wave effects, although those are dx10 whereas the ps3 is dx9. Very impressed.
