    Re: Halo: Reach

I had no plans to get this game until I read the reviews today. I got bored with Halo 3 (especially the campaign), but it sounds like there's a lot more to Reach. Might have to pick it up at some point.

For $40 go for it. You can play the campaign for a month then if you don't like online you could trade it and get $30 towards one of those other games or sell it and probably get your $40 back. That's what I did with ODST. It cost me $5 for 2 months.

I've never completed a campaign mode in any of the Halo games. I'm sure I won't do it for Reach either. It's all about multiplayer for me.

I just preordered at Toys R Us. To get the $25 gift card you have to be a Rewards member, but it's free to sign up.

Reach for $35 bucks. Pretty good. Thanks for posting the deal.

              Re: Halo: Reach

I don't know if I'm getting Reach. I'm tempted, the reviews are all awesome, but then again the reviews of Halo 3 were amazing and I wasn't a fan of that...

I may wait a bit and see if you guys think it's more of the same Halo or if they've actually modernized things some. Halo 3 was Halo 2.5 for me. I need a bit more than a multiplayer refresh...I don't play exclusively online anymore, and I don't have the time to play constantly like you need to compete with a lot of the people on there.

I can't believe this finally comes out tomorrow.

It's going to ruin the semi-budding social life I've had going for me recently.

And truthfully, I'm not too sad about that.

Really looking forward to tomorrow. I was a big fan of Halo 3 and Reach is looking much better. Ladies and Gentlemen make no mistake about it, the Bungie team will be going out on top!!!

I still havent decided where I'm going to go.

I want to go to Best Buy and use some rewards points, but Target and WalMart are both much closer, and are also closer to some food that I could pick up on my way home in the morning.

I love the concept of Daily and Weekly Challenges (kind of like World of Warcraft).

                          Bungie.net

Completing Daily and Weekly Challenges will go a long way to helping you earn big payouts. Each day, you'll be able to access the available and active Challenges from the main menu in game. Press A when highlighting any Challenge and the game will magically whisk you into the correct lobby. As you progress through each individual challenge, the game will display a measure of your progress in game so you know how close you are to the big payout.

Halo was my first shooter on a console. I played all the others so I feel compelled to pick up the last one from Bungie. After reading reviews it sounds like the campaign will have a very similar feel to it, so now I'm not all that excited about it.
Online I think there will be enough casual Halo players on my friends list for a few weeks. Then there's firefight which could be the mode that keeps me from selling this one after a month.

Best Buy shipped my $20 GC this morning along with my 500 RZ points. Also got a notification that Halo Reach is in stock but can't be picked up til 9:00 AM tomorrow morning.

The first Halo campaign was AMAZING in my opinion. I would play it over and over it was that good. I beat the 2nd Halo but wasn't too impressed and never got around to completing Halo 3.

For some reason I'm excited for the campaign mode, along with Forge. Hope to see some cool racetracks created by some of the users.
