I should be on this evening unless the roommates want to watch a movie. Though I'm sure I'll be on at some point.Lux y VeritasComment

Massive 360 Server Upgrade
We have upgraded our network infrastructure to better accommodate the huge response to L4D2. 360 players will now have lag-free servers. We've also added more dedicated servers.
We will continue to monitor the situation and add resources as needed.
Thank you for your patience. Now quit reading this, get out there and kill some zombies!Go Noles!!! >>----->Comment

Great News! Hopefully this fixes some of the horrible lag during Scavenge and Versus Mode.Comment

Re: Left 4 Dead 2 (360/PC)
Not much in coop gaming that can compare to having a well organized team in Vs. destroy another team and watch them all rage quit.
In the first campaign, 2nd level where you have to gather the cola I was able to jockey a player and steer them back into the convience store. His teammates were late to respond and by the time one of them made it into the store I was in the aisles. For about the next 20 seconds I just kept moving up the opposite aisle away from this poor suckers help all while giggling profusely into my mic. Too much fun this game.Comment

Left 4 Dead 2 Sales Explode Over Holiday Week
Fans can't seem to get enough of shooting zombies.
Valve Software announced today Left 4 Dead 2 has sold over 2 million units worldwide since its release just two weeks ago. The company points out these results are for retail copies only, and not digital copies downloaded from Steam, making this news even more impressive.
"Left 4 Dead 2 is off to a great start with strong support at retail and great reviews from the press," said Doug Lombardi, VP of marketing at Valve. "Meanwhile the title has already been played by over 1 million Xbox LIVE Gold account holders, and news regarding L4D2 DLC 1 is coming very soon."
The company says the stronger than expected sales were spurred by the Black Friday holiday shopping frenzy.
To date, Left 4 Dead 2 has already outsold the original game released one year ago by more than double, according to Valve.Go Noles!!! >>----->Comment

Gotta be the Midnight Riders as playable characters in their own story. I'll be all over that!Comment

Re: Left 4 Dead 2 (360/PC)
I haven't even noticed a little lag over the past couple days in Versus or Scavenge. Every game I played was running on the official dedicated servers too. Massive server upgrade indeed.Go Noles!!! >>----->Comment

Re: Left 4 Dead 2 (360/PC)
myself, chubbybanana, ESPNdeportes and some random named wyteICE. myth? legend? no, something much greater than that.
Last night this group decided to play a team game of scavenge. We scooped up wyteICE from our previous scavenge lobby and hit up some scavenge on the finale of dead center, the mall atrium.
We lost the first game and there wasn't much competition. We kept the first round close but they easily beat us in the second. I wanted to go back to the lobby to find a new team but deportes said "let's play them again, we can beat them." I didn't think so, but it seemed like everybody else wanted to try again so we did.
First round we started as the special infected first and held them to just four cans. We got five so we took round one. Round two is when everything started to go downhill. We started as special infected and did terrible as they got 11 cans. As survivors in round two we struggled from the get go and eventually started shooting each other, getting 0 cans for a loss. This is where things get interesting.
Round three starts and we begin as survivors. We thought we had come up with a good strategy but it was crap. We died fairly quickly and got no cans, so all they had to do was get one can to win the game. Discouraged, I began as a smoker and my plan was just to get the guy going for the closest can on the ground, and when the guy was a few feet away from the car I had him wrapped up and he dropped his can. I figured I was going to get killed because I was in plain sight, but to my surprise two of the other three survivors were nowhere to be seen. Turns out they had gone down the long hall way for those two cans but one had a jockey on him and the other was pinned by a charger. Our fourth special infected was a spitter, so naturally that leaves one survivor free, and he was trying to kill me. Shooting from a long distance is not a good idea, but then he was getting mauled by common infected so no bullets were hitting me. In the meantime the spitter hit that survivor with some goo and down he went. There it was, all they had to do was get one can to win and they failed.
So that's it. A tie game, right? Wrong. I did not know this but scavenge mode has a tiebreaker, which I believe is most time spent alive as survivors. We crushed them in this even though they had that 11-can round. So after conceding defeat in the second round and starting the third round with no cans we had come back to defeat a team that had handled us in the previous game. The end.Lux y VeritasComment
