I did a search and did not find anything about this classic game but sense it is now available on the PSN Store, lets have a discussion about this classic game.

I'm not gonna call it the GOAT (someone else probably will), but it's certainly one of the most well known games ever, and a true classic. It's also one of my personal all-time faves, a position which many of the FF games hold. I can pull this out any time and enjoy it even today, which is why I was so happy to see it come to the playstation store. It meant I could finally retire my black-label disc version of the game and let it grow. ($$$$$ ). Plus, having recently gotten a PSP, that gives me another way to play it.

Was there a better magic system in the whole series than FF7's materia?

I also caved in and purchased the DL. I was a big fan of the music so it was great hearing again after all these years!

I plan to be a bit more efficient with the materia usage this time around. Although I would love to use "All" for everything possible.

It's a great game, but I don't like the materia system. I would rather have party members with distinct skillsets like FF4 and FF6.

Great game, but overrated. Not even the best of the series.

I saw it availiable for download and thought about getting it. Didn't do it though, I've played it enough. Now if they had upgraded the graphics and maybe added in some new stuff it would have been a no brainer. As it is, I still have an old copy.

It's not my favorite RPG, not even my favorite FF game, but it's up there. I liked it a lot and it's the only Final Fantasy game besides Tactics for the GBA that I completed all the side things like the optional bosses and chocobo racing.

I remember the first time I played it I had to start over cause I couldn't finish it. I lost the airship on the island where Yuffie was. I spent like 5 hours looking for it. It just wasn't there anymore.

I got it....Not my GOAT, but still a great game and I at least can play it on my barely used PSP. I neve finished it, but maybe this time I will

Correct.

I just watched Advent Children again the other day when my cable was out and it really made me want to play FF7 again. Thinking about finding it and doing some work on it. Probably going to watch Advent Children Complete first before looking for it.

I wouldn't go so far as to say it's the only FF worth playing though. As I've enjoyed all of the main numbers (1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 10-2, 11, 12) as well as the ones not with numbers like Tactics, Tactics Advance, Crystal Chronicles, etc.

Easily one of my top 3 games of all time. People who call it overrated are probably people who do not like RPG's in the first place.

I wish FF would go back to this turn base battle system

This game has had a lasting impact on me as a gamer. Easily one of my favorite games that I have ever played. Still have my copy from back in the day.

I really wish PSN would go the XBL route and release games like FF7 with some HD cleanup.
