Word to Moses. That whole game was just, just excellent. MGS4 is shaping up to be even better (no one spoil me please, I'm still going through it).

I'm going old school and picking Raid over Bungling Bay for the C64. I loved the fake news story, the fireworks and the parade with you waving to the crowd from the car.

MGS 4 was my first thought but I'll say DOA 4,it's amazing. (pun intended)

Sonic Adventure Battle 2. EVERYTHING AHEAD IS A SPOILER!

FIRST: THIS GUY GIVES A GOOD REVIEW OF THE GAME

While the animations are not the greatest, I really apreciated this game for it's story. While you would have to play the whole game to get the full value, the ending is still awesome. The blue guy is good (sonic..duh) The black and red one is bad (shadow), and the red one is a friend of sonics. The space colony they are on is on a collision course to earth, and a gian monster is pulling them to it. The collective powers of good and evil combine to save the planet.

I still regard Portal as the best hour and a half of gaming that I have ever played.

COD4's ending was pretty good as well.

Only other great ending that comes immediately to mind is Super Mario World

I would too, only it probably took me four hours. I wasn't used to right analog stick turning and it took me a long time to understand the "portal" concept as I started playing.

Mass Effect. The entire game had a movie-like feel and so did the ending. Very cool and so was the music.

Played it on PC, man, I actually couldn't even think of beating that game with sticks
