That's good news. I have a DS I can borrow, but no where near me has HeartGold.

I haven't had a DS in forever so I don't know, but can you store friend codes to make a friends list of sorts?
Would make it a lot easier to have a list of people here that have it.Cincinnati Reds University of Kentucky Cincinnati Bengals

Re: The Pokemon Thread
I think this is why I liked Generation II so much and have been lukewarm at best on Generations III through V (haven't actually played IV or V yet, just read up on them). The starters in GSC have been my favorite, even moreso than Bulbasaur/Squirtle/Charmander. The starters in the later generations just haven't stood out to me, so it's been hard to get excited about playing them.Comment

Agreed completely. They were my favorites by far too.I think this is why I liked Generation II so much and have been lukewarm at best on Generations III through V (haven't actually played IV or V yet, just read up on them). I liked Gen III starters though, but IV and V I don't like that much.
It seems as a whole the new pokemon are just a lot less original than the earlier ones, and the majority of them just look plain stupid.Cincinnati Reds University of Kentucky Cincinnati Bengals

Re: The Pokemon Thread
Nothing beats the Gen 1 pokemon for me, loved all of them even bulbasaur unlike other grass type beginners.
This makes me want to go pick up FireRed next even tho HG does through it, think i'm gonna get White or Black next tho for the DS(although I've never played Platinum either)Saints, LSU, Seminoles, Pelicans, Marlins, LightningComment

I'm back in the game...

Had to drive to a Best Buy 20 minutes away, but I'm pretty sure it'll be worth it considering I have the next 3 days off.Fan of....

I would definitely give d/p/p generation a go since you haven't already, platinum is my favorite pokemon game out of them all.Comment

Re: The Pokemon Thread
Loading up Platinum for the first time. Very bizarre feeling. When I played RBY for the first time I'd practically memorized the entire game and storyline already. When I played GSC for the first time I'd been anticipating it for almost a year, including following someone online who was navigating their way through the Japanese version, so I basically knew everything right away. Even with Ruby, Sapphire and Emerald, I did a lot of reading and such ahead of time.
Going in totally cold with Platinum. I have no idea what I'm doing, lol.Comment

I could never get a damn Alakazam in earlier gen.
