I'm having to make myself use Machop, Wigglytuff, and now Jolteon.. because using Blastoise and Persian just isn't fair. Those three are still really tough. I've used a few TMs on Wigglytuff.. finally benched Butterfree. I just don't have enough PT to go around.
I ran right through Team Rocket's HQ and now working on the gym. I don't get to play this game often, but when I do, I tend to play forever...
I just blew $60 on a game so I won't be getting a new game for a bit, but I may look for a copy of FireRed on amazon or something soon.
I was going to finally buy a DS, this week, but I lost my prescription Oakleys in the lake, this past weekend and my insurance won't cover for a while. I had to dish out $100 for an up to date exam and buy some contact lenses... so there went my DS money.
I'll just continue enjoying Fire Red, for now.
When I do finally get a DS, I may jump ahead a good bit and buy Black. The newest I've ever owned was Gold for GBA, but I actually sort of like the look of a lot of the new Pokemon, even if I know nothing about them.
I hated that Umbreon! Espeon didn't really bother me that much because I had Crunch and Bite to dispose of it.
As for my all water playthrough, I'm currently in Victory Road training a little bit for the Elite Four.
Team:
Level 48 Lapras
Level 46 Slowbro
Level 44 Quagsire
Level 44 Feraligatr (I finally caved and evolved it lol)
Level 42 Poliwhirl
I really wish I could find a water stone for Poliwhirl without having to waste my time on the Pokeathalon or get to Kanto lol. Oh, and I'm considering going to get my Horsea soon, but I feel like I should wait until I get through the Elite Four before I do that.
Got wrecked in the 4th trainer in the Elite 4, need to level my pokemon. Dophan/Jynx/Kadabra are only 38, Feralgatr/Ampharos are 41, Ho-Oh 47
That's what happened to me...I was using my Lapras to do everything from the Blackthorn gym on. And it bit me hard once Lapras went down in a battle. Training was my only choice, plus Victory Road is very convenient with an all Water team lol, so I decided to stake out near the exit and kill Donphans, Gravelers, Onixs, and Golbats until everything is level 48
Do you guys suggest getting HG new or used?
Is the walker thing worth the extra $5-10 bucks getting it new?

That sucks, I got lucky and my friend sold me his for $30. He just got a 3DS.
For 5 bucks I'd say go for the Walker. Not for 10 though.
It's nice to be able to earn experience points for your chosen Pokemon when you're not playing via that thing, but I never used it for much besides that.

The game itself is $29.99 and the game new is $39.99
I also get 10% off with power up rewards so it would be more like 27, I guess it will just depend on how much I get from the 3 games I trade in ( Skyrim, UFC 3 and ME)

Also, seeing as I haven't played Ruby/Sapphire/Emerald in forever, I forgot the gym order. The rock gym was not too friendly of a first gym to my current team.

I feel weird for liking a post about exposed penises.
The constant, relentless stun spores and the giga drain from the weepingbell was just annoying, more than anything... even though I never lost a Pokemon.

I bet, especially since you started with Blastoise. Celadon was always one of the easiest for me with Charizard.

What starter did you go with? I always had problems with Roxanne (gym leaders name I believe) until I evolved Torchic since you get double kick.
