Yeah, I agree man. I wish I could have this vote back. Shows how quick we are as gamers to overreact to novelty. I think MW2 is a good game, they just over did it with the killstreaks.

I like IW's maps better than Treyarch's, plain and simple. I don't like more than half the maps in W@W. Not saying COD4 and MW2 don't have a few maps I like less, but none that I actively hate LOL.

MW2 is amazing.

I do have a friend (note singular here...) that preferred W@W to COD4 for the reasons stated by others about it being a little more open and slower paced. That fit his style of play better.

I don't think I'll give up on MW2 completely; I can always hope they patch up the matchmaking but they haven't so far. Can't stand akimbo either; it should never have been put in.

Okay, I'm quoting myself because I retract that MW2 is 'amazing.' I think at this point that the MP is so messed up that I plan to spend more time on BC2's MP modes.

I don't think I'll give up on MW2 completely; I can always hope they patch up the matchmaking but they haven't so far. Can't stand akimbo either; it should never have been put in.

To be fair, akimbo pistols would've been a fine addition. Making it so nearly everything can go akimbo, however, was a big mistake.

I am just very excited, as an elite COD player, that the COD has been so vocal with message boards, youtube videos, etc...that Treyarch is on notice to what IW did wrong (which to sit down and list the faults/problems of MW2 would take quite a bit of time...which is especially disheartening when it would take a few seconds to list the faults of MW1 and Waw).

W@W is boring as all hell. the weapons are garbage, and the maps are not only boring, but some are too damn big. im not talking about the DLC maps cuz i didnt like the game enough to buy them. unless ur really into the world war stuff, its not very appealing.

MW2 is a very good game and better than the first one. yeah i hate the akimbo 1887's and marathon/lightweight/commando bastards but that doesnt damper the game for me one bit. i play the game at least a half hour every day. im still on level 36 on W@W.

with all that said, world at war is still a good game. i just dont care for it and niether did most people as u can tell because MW2 has sold much more.

And I disagree with MW2 being better than MW. With all the dust settled, I think the first Modern Warfare is better than MW2 and WAW.

The shooting certainly is...which is mind boggling to me...why change from leading people (the way you should) to have the recticle directly over someone across the map as they're moving?
The maps --- well they all have highs and low's. Overall I like the slight slower pace of WAW because of the map sizes and designs, but 4 had great ones too especially from a design perspective.

yeah after having a lot of time to think about it, for me it's probably

1. cod4
2. waw
3. codmw2

from a pure multiplayer perspective ( I don't really like any of their single player games)

COD4 has sold over 13 million.
COD:W@W has sold over 11 million.
MW2 has sold over 1 billion copies. and has over 4 mill in pirated copies as well.

MW2 is the better game. it also got better reviews than the previous games.

Reviews are crap. MW2 is garbage. I got the game on release day, beat the campaign the very next day and got rid of it. And now with all the bugs & glitches the game is a complete mess. Those killstreaks and that other stuff they added is horrible. WAW was fun. Both SP and MP.

Hard to give your opinion much merit when you played it for one day though. I have played just about every day since launch and have rarely, if ever, ran across all these bugs. All depends on who you play with.

I love MW2 and I play it at least an hour a night every night since release date and don't see myself letting up anytime soon. This game is extremely fun. I'm sick of the comparisons to MW1 and people complaining of how great MW1 is. If It's so great stop playing MW2 and go back to it. These are 2 different games. Yes with the same title but I think a lot of people were expecting MW2 to me the same as MW1 just with new maps because they were so comfortable with the game.

And to the guy who said he traded it in the very next day, why? Did you not know anything about the game before it came out? You didn't know all the killstreaks were in? Were you expecting MW1 just with better graphics or something. At least give the game more then a day's chance so you can truly tell rather it is garbage or not. 1 day is hardly enough to go on.
I personally am enjoying MW2 a lot more then MW1.
