How the hell does everyone remember so vividly? I have no idea what mine was.

Moses, I remember because i would never come close with any other games.
I was shocked that i got as far as switching discs! lol

Kung Fu for the NES. I remember that I got it along with the system. I played it all night and beat it in the wee hours of the morning. Needless to say, I was "sick" the next morning and had to miss school. I was so sad about it too.

I think it was the first Zelda on the NES.

Yeah, for me it was either this or Super Mario Bros but, I can't quite remember which was first.

Mega Man 2. The only reason I remember is because I could get past everything in that game except the final boss, Dr. Wily. Finally one day on my 1,000th or so try I final beat him with one little pellet of life left. I never beat him again, but at least I did it once.

I don't remember which one came first, but I LOVED those games. Lol, just watched some vids of them on youtube... memories!

I know there were games on NES and Sega I beat (most likely Mario and Sonic... or one of the Castlevanias... I also used to play Zelda a lot), but I just don't remember anymore which ones.

The regular old, pack-in, Super Mario Bros. on NES. I beat it exactly once when I was a kid...a feat never duplicated in all my 20+ years of gaming since.

I beat the gold cartridge of Zelda first, beat Super Mario 1 next. Then Contra in there somewhere.

Metal Gear Solid 2. This is the game that opened my eyes to other games besides sports games.

The first Zelda. Toss in Super Mario Bros, Mike Tyson's Punchout, Goonies II, and the first Metroid, and I think you're looking at the complete list of single player games I've played all the way through. My attention span has actually gotten worse the older I get.
