I can only imagine it is insane. I have died countless times on suicide alone.

Guess I will need to play on a lower diff to unlock the achievements for "All you can be" and the one where you survive 3 chapters w/o dying.

I´am still waiting to get new MP maps and a highly needed patch for that game! Never touched it again after my stats got reset 4 times in a row! Singleplayer is the best in any shooter games!

        Re: Spec Ops: The Line

They were forced to add the multiplayer, didn't want anything to do with it and outsourced it. That's why it sucks.

"The multiplayer mode of the Spec Ops: The Line was never a focus of the development," Davis said, "but the publisher was determined to have it anyway. It was literally a check box that the financial predictions said we needed, and 2K was relentless in making sure that it happened - even at the detriment of the overall project and the perception of the game."

Against Davis' wishes, development on the multiplayer component proceeded and was farmed out to Darkside Studios. The result, according to Davis, was a "low-quality Call of Duty clone in third-person," which "tossed out the creative pillars of the product." "It sheds a negative light on all of the meaningful things we did in the single-player experience," Davis said. "The multiplayer game's tone is entirely different, the game mechanics were raped to make it happen, and it was a waste of money. No one is playing it, and I don't even feel like it's part of the overall package - it's another game rammed onto the disk like a cancerous growth, threatening to destroy the best things about the experience that the team at Yager put their heart and souls into creating."

That sucks. The single player I loved, and if they were forced to do a multilplayer maybe offering co-op play would have been the best idea.

              Re: Spec Ops: The Line

Darkside Game Studios, the developer responsible for Spec Ops' multiplayer, said this today:

There are a lot of positive topics covered in the recent Polygon article about Spec Ops: The Line. However, one clarification needs to be made about the multiplayer mode: Darkside Game Studios was brought onto Spec Ops towards the tail end of the project and revamped the entire multiplayer design. The deadline was tight, the demands were high, and Darkside did a great job according to focus tests, reviewers and players. Cory Davis himself followed up on his Twitter account: "Darkside Games did a great job with the time / resources they were given. They finalized and shipped a historically troubled Multiplayer." His concerns originated prior to Darkside's involvement and stemmed from his opinion that the game should contain no multiplayer at all. Fortunately, for the core fans of Spec Ops multiplayer, this was an outlying opinion.

So they don't actually read anything then. Reviewers nor gamers said they did a great job with the multiplayer.

Picked this game up for $15 on Amazon during Black Friday.
I'm really enjoying it so far.
The controls and visuals are very similar to GoW (which I loved) but with a modern military slant.
Definitely worth the $15 so far.
