Re: Spec Ops: The Line
Also it always ends up taking me longer to finish a game then the people online says it does. Maybe its just bc I die more then most but I think its bc some people just speed through it and skip everything just to say "look I beat it in x amount of hours"Retro Redemption - Starting over with a oldschool PowerBone Offense

Re: Spec Ops: The Line
Totally agree. I like to take my time, soak in the atmospher, look for items, etc. Plus, as I said earlier, I'll play through this 2-3 times, so it will get plenty of play time.Comment

Re: Spec Ops: The Line
That's how I look at games like this that are a little shorter then I would prefer. I'd rather play a game that I enjoy from start to finish then one that I get bored with toward the end and are just ready to move on to my next game. Because if the quality is there I will go back play through it again at some point.Retro Redemption - Starting over with a oldschool PowerBone Offense

Re: Spec Ops: The Line
Another good review here too (they've changed their system): http://www.gamesradar.com/spec-ops-the-line-review/
It's been great so far and I hope people aren't writing it off as just another war game. It's most certianly not.
Not to spoil anything but I don't think we'll ever hear the end of chapter 8. Give it about 2 days.
They've done such a wonderful job of not giving away things in trailers etc. so I'll limit the pics to artistic even though the spoilerific shots are amazing but you should really experience it all for yourself and not even be tempted to click on a spoiler:

Re: Spec Ops: The Line
The game is pretty damn awesome. I think I'm on chapter 5, maybe 6, so still a bit to go and, apparently something real awesome in Chapter 8.
There are some really cool gameplay things with this one. Fighting in a sand-storm, being able to shoot out glass ceilings or windows and the effects of those.
Controls take a bit of getting used to but they're not bad by any means. They're closer to Gears of War, from what I remember of that scheme.
The story, though, is awesome and the voice-actors all do a damn good job from what I've seen so far.
Not mad I used my GS credit towards this game at all. I'm more interested in this story than Max Payne 3's story, if that matters to anyone.Comment
