Re: For Those With Star Wars: KOTOR

Dude...do NOT read other boards for now. Somebody will spoil it, and I literally had butterflies as the revelation started "dawning on me". My wife even had her jaw drop (she's been watching the game).

Absolutely blindsided everybody in my house...somebody's bound to give it away as they get there. I assume nobody on here has seen it yet, because I KNOW there will be some yahoo who posts about it.

If I see it, I'm deleting the post, it's that good.

I started looking at GameFAQs just to kill some time, but quickly decided to avoid there...just too easy to get something ruined, luckily I was safe and didn't see anything. More fun to let it surprise you, and it's tougher to get really stuck in this game.

Hey Tcrouch, maybe you could help me out here as you seem to be pretty far into the game. I'm having a bit of trouble betting the Dark Jedi girl on Dantooine, she's the one who's in the stone ruins in the grove. I just can't beat her at all. I recently saw the commercial for the game on TV, pretty cool spot, but anyways, they show the main character fighting her with 2 lightsabers at a time. Is this how you have to do it, or is there another way to beating her?

By the time I got to her, I was using dual sabers, so that's a possibility.

But I didn't beat her I didn't have a lot of problems knocking her block off, but your biggest attribute will be to try to keep her stunned or offguard. If you have any force abilities, try to cast stasis or stun on her to keep her loopy. She can't fight if she can't move. I don't remember if you have 2 or 3 levels of Jedihood by that time, but I think I had stun at least. I cast a force speed (which gives you like +10 defense and an extra percent to hit I believe) and stunned her, then queued up a buttload of critical strikes until she got whittled down...

For the record, I'm also a straight-up melee soldier. I'm all about the combat. I can't slice, I can't do anything except kick *** and take names. I haven't had much trouble killing anything yet. Last night I took on 3 Dark Jedi Masters at once and barely broke a sweat.

I'm not at a high level yet, but that's the type of character I'm gonna be too. The fighting in this game is a little more complex than like FFX or something, so getting heavily involved in a lot of different areas isn't my strong suit yet. Just beat the hell out of the opponent, that's my plan
