Do any of yall play with the move controller on the gun or do you just use the controller?

I beat the Campaign use the Move and Sharpshooter, and on occasion will use the Move in multiplayer. Mostly, I use the controller, though (depends on my mood).

Depends. If you put the time into the Move (in any game), it can be more advantageous than using the controller. While playing the campaign, I was amazed at how easy it was to aim and shoot (when compared to using the dual analog sticks). What became a problem for me, online, was getting used to making different movements because some of the buttons weren't in the best spot on the Sharpshooter. I have no problem recommending the Move & Sharpshooter (because I still use it when the mood suits me), but I go back to the controller because I'm more comfortable with it.

I'm goin to shoot u a Friend Request...with the parties, the game is getting harder b/c of the teamwork of good clans...i cant play by myself w/o getting to frustrated lol...I'm a decent player.

just bought this game on amazon. going to give the campaign a whirl tonight. is there an OS clan that is still active?

Don't think many are still active on it. You should be able to find plenty of gamers online though.

eton - whats your take on the new game? like socom of old or not so good?

Southern, It has elements of old SOCOM's that are good but they tried to mainstream it to sell more copies. the put more or a emphasis on respawn games. And they don't use the lobbies anymore either. And of course they are now using a COD style XP system too.


Now, I have heard some rumors lately that they are working on a SOCOM collection game. I know a guy on you tube who is a tester say it was in development but when he went to the SOCOM.com forums to talk about it, they banned him. I hope it's true but I guess time will tell.

i still play this game daily its great...i hope they dont go back to the old socom...i definitely am tired of that gameplay...great game for its time but been there and done that

That guy is full of ish....zipper reps themselves have come to the forum and said there is NO remake in the works

Eric, although Zipper may have said that, I think there reasoning is that they don't want to ruin continuing sales and DLC of the current game.

But thats why there is a COD out there. Socom was suppose to be that other option. I was highly disappointed in this, especially coming from zipper.

you guys still play confrontation? I get on every now and then, I would play confrontation a lot more if you guys are on. I am glad I held off from SOCOM 4, I played the beta and i didnt like it.
