I tried running around last night and Malaak started throwing his lightsaber at me. (Which took off at least 30 pts off my life) I'll give it another try. Thanks.

I really wanted to start a new one tonight, hope it doesn't take me all night to beat him.

yeah, it took me a while, make sure you have enough energy shields, because that should defray the damage of a saber toss...I would equip another shield when one died, that was the biggest help, IMO. I'm using a scoundrel/consular now (not a jedi yet, but that's the plan), and I'm wondering how tough that battle will be, maybe I just need high stats to make it so Malak doesn't roll a save on the force attacks

I know that my next go around I'm going to load up on the force suppression type stuff, Heal, Master valor ect.

Here's another one, How do you use the force jump?

force jump is hit or miss with me. I choose the regular 'attack' and sometimes he jumps to attack, while other times he just runs...don't know why it's not more consistent

Wanna hear the worst part? As a Dark Jedi, I just stim-packed myself out the wazoo, waded in, and did critical strike after critical strike. With dual sabers and max saber affinity, he didn't stand a chance in combat. As he'd whittle my life down, I'd nail a life support pack, and whomp on him again.

I beat him first time through without much effort, but it was only because I focused entirely on saber combat throughout the game, and force powers were a distant afterthought. By the time I faced Malak, I was literally outclassing him in everything saber-related. The only way he was damaging me was with his lifedrains and such, but it didn't take much to topple him. After I go back and fight him as a Lightie, I should know more...sorry, can't help much at the moment.

And rheller, I have 3 kids (9 year old girl, 3 year old boy, 10 month girl).

My problem is that he stuns me and gets vicious wacks in on me. The sad thing is I know if I don't have half my life by the time it's his turn to hit me, I may die. Every other turn form me last night was equipping some kind of med pack.

Hmm...you don't have any of the feats to resist mind, eh?

Or items? He rarely stunned me...are you a 20th level, or lower?
