The install file is the same as the game data file, right? There wasn't anything in the save data file thing and I've done everything I possibly could.

Haha I kicked the desk, didn't break anything lol. Did you see that often "losing my cool" thing snapping off the triggers though? Hahaha.

Wait, this isn't funny at all... I can't play LBP2. Even if I return it for my money back, whoopdee doo... I can't play the most awesome game in the world, ever! This is really starting to piss me off.

You should have a profile and save data in the Game Data Utility section.
Unlike LBP1 there is no data in the Saved Data Utility section.
Try deleting the profile along with the save data.... See if that helps.

I didn't get far enough to create a profile. I already deleted the one file that was in there and attempted a reinstall, with both discs mind you.

This is frustrating, more so that I can't ever actually play/own this game unless I get a new PS3.

I tried it on my friend's PS3 and it works just fine. In fact, that loading screen takes about six seconds to complete before the next item pops up (adjusting your screen). Mine takes at least ten seconds or so before the freeze, which makes me believe it must be my hard drive.

Actually to be honest, every time I had to reboot my machine I felt like all of the items took forever to pop up. I'm rebuilding my database now as we speak. I won't be so happy that I'll have to reconfigure things such as photo and video albums, playlists, album artwork etc. but I'm hoping this is a necessary step in fixing my hard drive issues. I didn't back up my system so if **** hits the fan... oh well.

I've seen many survival levels that were as good/better than story mode ones (at least in original LBP). There's a few in MM Picks on both games. They're probably a lot simpler and easier to make though (for the most part).

I'm thinking of putting one together myself after reading some of the ways people make those progressively tougher. The storymode-type levels are way out of my league, but I think I could do a survival one if I actually had the motivation.

I spent most of yesterday playing those types of levels in all three games (I have the PSP game too), and I can sort of grasp how most of them work thanks to MM/Cambridge not hiding their bolts/switches etc. Most of the mechanisms themselves are hidden away offscreen, but you can sort of guess what's going on behind the scenes by the tools you see while the level is playing.

Ran into a small glitch, if you go through a level and collect a key, then decide to run through it again to get something you missed or (as in my case) to run through without dieing the key level won't unlock, it only unlocks if you go to the pod immediately following the play through in which you grabbed the key.

Do I have to completely finish Da Vinci's Hideout to play online or something? I'm getting zero access to the community area. Hmm...
