Finally going to pick this up. Still don't know which version to get. Sometimes I hate having both systems.

If you're going to play online, get the one you have more friends online with.

If not, they are identical in almost every way. Even the 360's terrible D-Pad doesn't make any real difference here with the way the moves are pulled off.

So go with whatever system you prefer in the end.

Anyone using a regular PS3 controller, I've played some SSF4 on 360 but I had an arcade pad. Looking to get this for PS3 but just wondering what kind of controllers you guys are using, would like to avoid buying any new controllers for now unless I get really into it. Just wondering if the PS3 controller is good enough to get started at least.

I can do combos, my problem is setting them up. You can't just try to approach people in this game, you'll get smacked by a crossover assist and potentially eat a super for doing so. It's those airdashes and teleporting special moves that set everything up, and I just don't have the presence of mind to know when to use them, and how to cross people up.

Go into practice and try this,should be real simple and you should be able to see...

Pick Dante,Chun-Li and Morrigan.
Easiest to do this on Sentiel.
Should be starting out with Dante and just press these buttons in this order,don't have it any more so I'm not sure this is exactly it but it should be...
QCB + H,F + HHH,S,JUMP + LLM,S + any direction,HHHHHH,S + any direction,LLM,FDD + H

That should be Dante's charging attack (L and M produce other variations),to rapid sword attacks,to launcher,to small combo,switch to Chun-Li for lightning kicks,switch to Morrigan for small combo ending with her dragon punch variant. Should look plenty flashy and you'll see what you should be aiming for.
