Bit late, but the newly revealed character's theme is on the Japanese site of UMVC3.

Me love Dr. Strange's, Vergil's and Firebrand's theme in particular.

I wasn't very impressed with these two trailers. I respect what they did with Wright but I still think he's a corny character and I don't understand the obsession with him. Nova looks.... simple. That could be a good thing though.

I've never been so torn on whether to get a game or not than with this one. The new characters look and play great and play different enough to make the matchups exciting. The roster at 48 is pretty close to the massive MvC2 roster, even though it is missing my old team of Cyclops, Gambit, and Mega Man.

On the other hand I just don't play MvC3 vanilla that much and my friends don't play it at all. I might see how much I could trade in MvC3 towards Ultimate and see if it might be worth it than. If only they were updating Ultimate with some more story/endings. The comic/art style is just begging for it.

Besides the Galactus mode reveal, there will be a card game mode. Happy it's a seperate mode and they didn't try to make it a core game system like in Street Fighter X Tekken.

Totally new way to play the game. Add abilities using cards, ala Gems or System Direction. Abilities include Parry, Assist Super Armor, XFactor Blowback, Dizzying Attacks, Projectile Invincibility, Special cancels into Specials, Invisibility, etc. Over 100 cards, equip 3 at once, 1.12 million total combinations.

Mode playable online. Battle online as clans in one-week events. Earn cards playing offline. Mode is free DLC post-launch. Howard the Duck is a card. We'd like to speculate that Vita players will be able to trade cards, since "additional Vita functionality" was teased but not announced.

All DLC shared across PS3, Vita.

Yeah, certainly underwhelming.

More of the same with new characters. But there's certainly an audience for this out there.
