The M16 is a very good assault rifle. Not a good choice in closer quarters but it blows away the other ARs at mid-long range.

I've tried on Jungle... but sniping is just pointless now. By the time you get your scope aligned and you've breathed in, you're dead. Besides, these maps are just too small and too tight to be using snipers.

Anyway I'm loving this game, but after going onto the CoD forums, I don't seem to be the only one complaining about this but, the knifing is ridiculous in this game. I swear it seems like it's worse than commando. The thing that pisses me off is that my knife never lunges at the enemy even when I'm looking at them... come to think of it, my knife rarely hits anybody in any CoD game I've played.

I can't seem to do the lunge either, but I've been killed by it about 5 times.

Its just a product of poor latency. I'm sure its looked like that at least once or twice to the people you knife. You just don't notice it because you are actually closer to them than you appear on their screen.

I am enjoying the game but I wish lightweight wasn't in the game it just makes the player look to floaty like your on ice and unrealistic looking. Just move side to side and it is a mission to hit him cause he is sliding all over. Maybe stopping power should have been left in the game to combat it. The game though is leaps and bounds better than MW2.

I agree. I like the feel of momentum rather than feeling like it's basically a camera moving back and forth.

My guess with the sniper class is that once players learn the maps and knowing where to set up then you'll see more snipers. I think MW and MW2 were both like this in the beginning, at least from what I remember.

Assault rifles not being nearly as effective from long range should also help snipers in the long run. Gone seem to be the days of picking off snipers from all the way across a map with my trusty SCAR.

Yeah, I've noticed SMGs aren't as good over a distance compared to previous games.

I haven't seen too many snipers, mainly because you can put a scope on any gun in the game, except for the shotguns, therefore I see a whole lot of LMG's amd SMGs with ACOG scopes killing EVERYBODY.

And I agree the SMG's is a bit too powerful from range. And they made the M-16 too weak. But anybody else noticed there are over 4 MILLION people online right now playing Black Ops ? I was like OMG.

And there is 1.4 million people more playing on Xbox 360 then PS3 and PC combined.

Agree. It takes 2-3 bursts to get a kill most of the time. And a lot of times after the inital hit the player will jump and hop around so it's hard to get those secondary bursts on target.

Exactly why the Enfield was an automatic purchase for me when I unlocked it. I had to try to catch people a little off guard with the M16 to killl them otherwise it wasn't happening really.

I am mildly surprised that I enjoy the R/C car. It isn't overpowered and isn't ridiculously easy to use.

I'm doing good with the M16 overall, it is by far my most used weapon and I'm the most accurate with it but it is annoying when my first burst does absolutely nothing. I think "damn If I was using the Famas or the Galil I would of had a kill" but I love the M16 too much to stop using it.
