I'm really liking how the game makes you pay for trying to run and gun. I love the change of pace from the previous games.

Pretty much. And it makes it boring when all it comes down to is everyone using SMG's or assault rifles. Basically everyone is the same. Its dumb...and i hate it. Aggravates me to no end.

I use sniper rifles and its like whats the point. Actually there's no point to shotguns either in this game.

The reason I don't have the game is because I'm getting my computer fixed which is how I connect by xobx to the interwebs. Reading posts like this though, make me question getting it, since I"m a die-hard sniper and do that about 85-90% of the time. It worked so damn well in cod4, WAW was good too, but mw2 something was wrong, and it wasn't balanced as well. I still did well-ish but sniping wasn't as fun and things like thermal and hbs and that didn't help.

I'll most likely just grab it anyway when my comp is fixed, but if sniping isn't fun and has zero advantages (aka bad balance) it won't last long for me. IMO RB6V and COD4 (to a little extentWAW) were all balanced quite well and everybody had a place like smg people, ar people and snipers for sure could all excell and really be specialists at any of those setups.

Take your time, earn some money then equip an ACOG scope, makes it a lot easier.

I run and gun and do just fine I got a K/D of 2.1 as well

The AUG is my new best friend. That gun is beast.

Where can I see my overall kill-death ratio? Am I overlooking it?

Also, I can see some of these maps lending to sniper posts as people settle in and play the maps differently. I've always felt the most rewarded after doing good as a sniper because its not so easy to do.

Go to player card-combat record-weapons

It's under the weapons sub menu.

Overall one. Just look through every submenu under weapons and it is there.

Two things:

Minus ten points to Treyarch for not getting their servers ready. It's an honest to God mess if you try to party up.

This game is like a mix between COD WAW and COD MW2. And I mean that in a good way.

Now if I can only sharpen my FPS skills...

Gonna happen in every COD game until they decide to run a public beta. There is just not way they can have their servers ready for a sudden influx of several million people online at the same time without doing something like that before (aka a public beta).

Was really excited for this game launch, but...


- I just don't like the spawn system whatsoever...kill, get killed, kill, get killed...

- For some reason I think Treyarch has a way of making the game "likeable" for everyone, in respect to having a equal playing field...killstreaks are nearly impossible to get...

I feel a lil' cheated nevertheless...

ah well, life goes on.

I think there are always going to be instances in any game with a spawn system where you sometimes spawn in unfavorable spots. It does help having a good team and using team work to keep your spawn point somewhat protected.

Compared to MW2, yes. That's not a bad thing.
