I really like where these types of games are right now. These developers are really hitting the nail on the head with some things. The fact that the game can determine a lagfest and try and get out of it is impressive. Reach does the same thing. In fact, many things are similar in the the two game's presentation. Obviously they are different in gameplay but both give a very nice approach to playing the game.

One thing I'm very impressed with is the map design. There is a lot of detail and just grittiness that goes along with the gameplay. The only thing I wish COD did better with was how characters move in the environment. I feel like when I'm controlling my character there is momentum, but when seeing players move it looks very shallow. That's probably from playing online too. But, I can't imagine the time that goes into some of these maps to get them so detailed. Very nicely done.

U know its very weird that I never see snipers now. Yea i know that no scoping and quick scoping are a thing of the past but if you stay still and find good sight lines u can rack up impressive numbers. I have done it with silenced WA and I am not a natural sniper so whatever.

I really like the maps, I think the variety is better than MW2. I wish we could play some of the MW1 maps.

I played for a few hours last night and the MP is much better to me than MW2. I didn't feel like I was getting cheated as I did with MW2.

The SP campaign so far is freakin' great, having a blast with that.

My son is hogging up all the game time in Black Ops, but since he has no school today I told him it's cool if he does an all day'er. So long as him and my daughter at least make me a nice at home breakfast first. Being that it was my B Day yesterday & Veterans day today and I'm a vet.

A few things from last night with either him or me playing that I noticed. Nuketown is a bit ridiculous and people vote for it way too much. You can practically kill or be killed by someone from the opposing teams spawn point to yours lol.

I see very little people using snipers or scopes even for that matter. Shotgun is very fun to use and so is the smg of any type being that the M 16 is useless for close quarters.

Most of the people we saw online were RnG'ing and that is ok with me. The lag was so bad at times last night that him or I would knife a guy point blank range and still not get the kill sometimes.

Aug seems to be looking as the weapon of choice early on. Biggest killstreak either of us got last night was 5 I think. His K/D ratio is close to 4 early on but I suspect it will drop a bit over time. Last night I was sucking (as usual) but my kid was friggin destroying.

RC car for the triple kill he got on Nuketown was kill of the evening, three guys all running up the stairs on the outside of one of the houses and my boy just drove it up to them at the base of the stairs and kaboom. hehe

This happens to me about 10 times a match. My knife goes right through them and then they knife this air behind and I'm the one who dies.
