Re: Call of Duty: Black Ops

I can't get any of my team to take my freaking care packages, I only need 3 more but these freaking people won't take gifts. I love the Commando, ever since I unlocked it it's been my go to rifle got about 3 times as many kills with it then any other gun. 3 of my 5 classes are equipped with the Commando the other 2 are AK-74u.
I've heard this "patience is a virtue" junk all my life. I'm happy to say I have no virtue, no scruples, and no desire to wait too long for anything. In my humble opinion instant gratification takes too long!

1796 are with the Galil (1.88 K/D when using)

      460 are with killstreaks
      410 are knife kills

Which leaves 840 by various guns/explosives.

The whole mini-debate got me interested in checking out whether or not I depended on killstreaks to get me kills and I'd say...nope.
Man...I am debating on whether I should buy this game or not. Didnt know you could track that kind of detail in the stats. Pretty good stuff you got goin on there.

Just for fun tonight I began using the classified shotgun (can't think of the name) dual wield. I love using shotguns in this game.

Now you're just lying for the sake of argument. I'm sure you have encountered at least a few games without people camping until they get their killstreaks. But you would never acknowledge that because it proves your little generalization wrong.

Holy **** did I encounter some bad lag tonight... tried three separate matches, and all three were AWFUL. Hopefully it's a little better tomorrow... I haven't played in over a week.

Jesus people, what makes it so hard to believe what somebody witnesses in a game? Just because you haven't ,means it doesn't happen?...

I have absolutely no need to lie to prove ANYTHING! Look at other damn message boards...look at how many complaints there are about campers...damn,I guess this must be hard for some to comprehend.

I have no problem admitting I'm wrong, when I'm wrong. I'm sorry if there are those of you that see only what you want to see.

With that, having a difference of opinion and being insulted really shows what has become of things....so I'll leave with that.

Why is it that so many people who have claimed to be angry with the game also claim they see x, y, and z in every single match?

Are you overstating purposefully or being 100% honest when you say you've seen campers camping for killstreaks in EVERY SINGLE GAME you've ever played in Black Ops?

If you aren't being honest, you're lying for the sake of argument. And I'm sure you haven't seen campers in every game of Black Ops you've ever played. So, uh, yeah... lying.

If a guy goes into the Madden forums angrily claiming he's played in 100 games and every person he played against was a cheeser, he's lying. And chances are he's banned as well.

Shouldn't we define exactly what camping is because I feel like there's at least several different views on the subject.

As far as I can tell, I haven't encountered more than 5-10 serious campers (ie: guys sitting in random corners away from the objectives waiting for random people to run by). In my experience, when people start bitching about campers its because somebody is holding an area down (usually near the objective) and they keep getting killed by the one guy.

I really don't see the issue with camping. I think its why I like Search and Destroy because you don't respawn. There has to be some tactical aspect to the game. It seems that most games are nothing but suicide missions...and if you run around fast enough you'll eventually sneak up on someone doing the same. I prefer the more methodical approach...just my .02.

Thisis how I feel, I haven't played the hardcore modes where poeple said they see it more, but I have ran across an entire team who sat waiting in corners the whole game. However its not al too common to find more than one guy who just waits in the same spot all game.

Well it depends on if you don't move at all during games like team deathmatch where it becomes a nuisance. If you want to hold down and area and move slowly through just that one part, that's fine, but just literally sitting in the same spot/corner in an area (unless you're sniping imo) just waiting for people to run by is cheap.

Bingo. Killing one person then waiting twenty seconds or so for that teammate that you know is going to come running around the corner to kill you and then killing them is not camping. Watching an entrance to a point in Domination or Headquarters or CTF is not camping. If you know/see an opponent shooting at a teammate and you decide to wait for him to come to you into your building or around your corner is not camping.

Those are all strategy and those are all things that I would not get pissed at because I do it too.

Camping, to me, is those people in TDM who will sit in the corner of a building right near the entrance and never move, or the people who stay back in a building away from the action waiting and waiting all match.

Moving from spot A to spot B and waiting in B for 30 seconds to a minute to see what's happening before moving to spot C is not, and never will be camping.

People complain about camping because the kill-cam only shows that five seconds where the person is crouched waiting for you to come around the corner, therefore the victim automatically assumes that you're camping.

Some thoughts on the last few days worth of posts:

                          - CowherPower has seen the light regarding killstreaks. They inherently unbalance play and make some players think they're better than they really are. Point scoring should be skewed heavily in favor of objectives in the objective modes like CTF, Domination, etc. but right now kills are too highly valued. BC2 tried to address this by boosting the value of objectives but even in that game the slant wasn't enough.

                          - I've had great success with the Commando equiped with a RDS but it also feels a bit different than some of the other popular assault rifles like the Famas. That might be why people aren't loving it. Given that I've seen people doing well with the M16, Enfield, Famas, AK47, and Commando it seems like the rifles are all fairly well balanced. It's just preference and play style.

                          - The servers blow regularly.

                          - The party system is attrocious compared to the BC2 system. It's an embarrassment for Treyarch.

The hit detection, lag & spawn points are my biggest issue with the game. If treyarch can clean that up it would be much more enjoyable. I like playing but the game is more frustrating than fun. Also has anybody had their gun just stop shooting making it unresponsive for a moment? This has happened to me numerous times and has cost me kills. Thanks.
